I recently had the pleasure of dining at a very quaint cafe that served seriously good food. As it turns out, the establishment is owned and run by a French family, which explains the authentic and delicious patisseries that were a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The atmosphere in the cafe was simply delightful, and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care had gone into creating a welcoming and cosy environment. Our family had the pleasure of trying the Brie bacon crepes and they were an absolute hit. Be warned, however, that these crepes aren't always on the menu during quiet periods, so it might be best to call ahead if you're set on giving them a try. I found the prices very reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and service. Speaking of the service, the staff were amazing; they were always on hand to help and they were generally very happy and friendly. The only drawback that I can see is that the coffee wasn't really to my liking, but I know that everyone has different tastes when it comes to coffee. All in all, I have to say that I was surprised by just how enjoyable my experience was at this cafe. There's really nothing to fault; it's clear that the owners have put a lot of love and care into creating a wonderful dining experience for guests.

Wonderful. Such friendly and helpful staff. I stopped by with my daughter when it was very busy but they still offered us a little table for 2 which was lucky and very kind considering how busy they were. Attentive staff, lovely menu. We had crepes and drinks. Can't fault it, really well made and the coffee was excellent. Beautiful room, the doors to the park left open which was lovely to watch the rain as we had our hot drinks. We will absolutely be back to try the savoury menu, I definitely advise you to book ahead as it's understandably busy there :)

Authentic french cuisine - do recommend the croque monsieur. Eat a light breakfast - trust me you'll want something sweet to pair with the coffee for afters. Staff are lovely and the cafe is fully up to date with Covid regulations. There are tables to sit inside and out to watch the world go by on a lazy afternoon.

On holiday in Devon and 1st visit to Bideford. Unexpectedly chose a busy day when there was a bike festival on. Our one year old has spent his whole life in lockdown and this was his first holiday so everything was a bit overwhelming for him. I'm a museum curator so wanted to visit the Gallery so when went to the Cafe for lunch. It was hot and my sons has been running around outside. The littlest one had a big meltdown. I took him outside while my partner ordered. When we came back the owner was so kind to us. Fetching a highchair for the little one, giving him a plate with some bread and an extra plate for us to divide up our food then as my older son started complaining he discreetly put down a sugar lemon crepe in front of him. When we paid and said thank you our server said 'he has kids so knows what it's like' Thank you for your kindness, and for making us feel comfortable, and the galettes and crepe were delicious! Wonderful place for families and fantastic service and...

Extremely rude and condescending manager when I asked about vegan options- very defensive about ‘trying their best to cater for everyone’ but clearly not, as there are no cake options in the morning. Absolutely gobsmacked to overhear them slagging me off as I was walking back to our table after making my coffee order, so I went back to complain, asked for the manager and found out the rude woman actually was the manager. No apology, and they seemed to have an issue with me having previously asked for vegan options (because who changes menus and has a cake of the day, huh? How stupid of me.) A shame because the coffee is really nice and good atmosphere. I’ll never be going there again, not even to try out the vegan option they apparently have for lunch. Having seen a couple of other reviews they seem to get very rude when someone making a complaint or giving feedback. So...
