How good are the pizzas? Right up there with Double 00 in Chorlton (but not with the wider range; BYOB or Gluten Free options) or Proove in Didsbury (Again, with a wider range, better parking and the ability to reserve a table - pizzas at Proove don't take an hour to deliver).
Let's dispense with the pizzas and focus on the positive points. The space is lovely, the location central (for Altrincham) and has a variety of eclectic food outlets akin to a Hipster food court. There's small alcove for toddlers that's well provisioned with soft toys and books.
The downside is that your table is liable to get pinched by someone else unless you can provide a 'towel on the deck chair' so to speak. Prices are upmarket, but not exorbitantly so. If it's pizza you're after then don't forget that there are 2 ovens. One indoor and the other outside in the corner of...
Read more*Updated after feedback from owner. My partner was told by the person that he spoke to that the hot sauce would be £4, definitely not the £1.70 stated below. I'm sorry we didn't get his name, otherwise we would provide it. It now seems as though you are questioning our honesty, which I must say doesn’t sit too well with us...
Tasty pizza, but customer service wasn't great. We'd paid £11 for a margarita, and when the waitress came over we asked for some hot sauce to go with it. She said we'd need to get it from where we ordered, and when my partner asked the guy from Honest Crust, they asked him to pay £4 for it! My partners reply was quite rightly "I want a few drops on my pizza, not buy the bottle!" and so they gave us some chilli oil for free. I just think if you're paying £11 for a basic pizza the condiments should come as part...
Read moreThey haven't used the word 'honest' lightly. My pizza today was quite simply the best I've experienced outside Italy. Fennel sausage and pistachio? what a combination for the tastebuds! (and rightly without the tomato sauce which would have distracted from this great taste combination). There's (fortunately) no glamour at this venue shared with other purveyor's of what appears to be great food and drink - but the place oozes authenticity and is an example of how a lovely old building can still find a use in a traditional town centre. People still flock to this old indoor market area but now it's to buy and taste at the same time. A shame we live so far away in East Anglia otherwise we'd be...
