Meat Garden doesn’t roll off the tongue but that doesn’t matter, just add this to the list of reasons why it’s harder to find a reason to venture into the city centre. Unless vegetarian, one can’t have lived in Manchester without having at least ventured to Bem Brasil or the up market Fazenda. Expect similar fare but with easier parking (thank you Tesco for 3 hours of free parking with a 5 walk into the high street. If stars align you can even find a free charging slot for your Taycan). As usual, I digress. The meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fillet steak was melt in the mouth. Experience has taught me to go at quieter times mid week, to reduce the intervals between selections. While the focus may be on the meat, one should never overlook the sauces. A robust chimichurri and homemade hot sauce made for a great pairing. The wine list was varied, tending towards robust Argentine Malbec over French Syrah. It was refreshing to see a well thought out vegetarian/vegan/pescatarian option for those that are unable to wolf down beef. However, I can’t attest to the quality of this option. Decor was inviting, seating convivial and staff very friendly. This included all the servers wandering with razor sharp knives and skewers. So be sure to tip well in these challenging times. I know there will be a time in the future when I will be unable to savour the flavour and texture of beef so until then, I’ll be a regular at my local rodizio.

I double visit for the picanha and pineapple, and I will visit again for the lamb. It made my weekend meaningful. We had a lunch visit for the first try. We got friendly service from all stuff there! During first time visit, they explain me well how to do rodizio. The piranha was suprised me! I had in other restaurants but they are always chewy. The pircanha here is special, tender, nicely grilled! I went to here second time after my wife and I found it exceptionally good. In the first time visit, they also asked what we want we we hang there. Then they served us the grill sweet pineapple directly which we were long waiting for! During the second visit, targeting the bloody amazing piranha, we tried their lamb grill which is a master piece. Crispy skin, tenderness meat, well mixed herbs. It is so far the best lamb grill I had! Wife and I love the lamb ruump so much and kindly let us have one to share! Sure, I will visit it again! 100% great to have this one to make your weekend meaningful in Manchester.

We've always opted to go to bem brazil previously for a similar kind of cuisine, having not known about Jardim until recently, but They had quickly started to really disappoint with their lack of service and value for money. We visited Jardim last night and did not leave disappointed! The staff were very welcoming, professional, polite and attentive. The salad bar was brilliant, something our previous choice of resturant had stopped doing, everything was fresh and tasty and there was lots to choose from We ordered 1 of each side and especially liked the truffle fries and the maccaroni cheese with jalapeños i could've easily ate a large bowl on its own! The servers with the meat skewers were coming round regularly and the cuts of meat were juicy and cooked perfectly, the sausages and chicken were also delicious 😋 This experience has easily put Jardim at the top spot for us ahead of bem brazil and even fazenda! We will be back very soon!

Unfortunately the experience was lacklustre. I wasn't going to do a review but as two of my party have and received passive aggressive replies rather than accepting the feedback, I feel as though I now need to.

As already stated by my friends, we didn't get a wide selection of meats and if we as halal customers are paying the same price as non-halal customers I'd expect a similar selection apart from the pork of course but perhaps with substitutions...

I've been to other Rodizios and never been served strips of meat on a platter. You say yourself that the Rodizio is all about interaction and part of this is the theatre of the meat being carved at the table so I don't understand this contradiction...

The atmosphere isn't great and most tables were empty. I think the issue here is price. Jardim is obviously competing with Fazenda but at only £4 less than Fazenda for an inferior Rodizio as well as an inferior salad bar offering, I would pay the extra for the better atmosphere and food offering at Fazenda. My genuine advice is that as you can't compete on the array of food offering, you must compete on price and service.

The service for our meal was bipolar - it was excellent from the aspect that they allowed us to pray in a secluded area and offered us grilled pineapple without the gammon, but on the other hand at a premium restaurant this should've been the default. Areas of improvement for the service include asking everyone in a group if their coats can be stored rather than just done individuals and to not over promise and under deliver. I really want you to succeed and sincerely hope you take this as genuine feedback and constructive criticism but await your standard passive aggressive reply....

update

Following a slanderous response where you say people in my party complained about

'lack chorizo and gammon at the table, when the party was booked as requesting halal meats. If you were the one running the business, would you find that reasonable?'

I have no choice to amend the review and reduce service from 3 stars to zero. I also suggest you reread those reviews instead of concocting lies. You have just lost me as a...

Really wanted to enjoy this restaurant! We've visited many rodizio's over the years and although the quality of the food was fantastic, we actually struggled to get fed at all! Granted, it was NYE but we did have a booking in place. We were seated in the back room, along with some other couples but majority bigger tables of 4 people or more. The meat would be brought out, offered to the large tables first, and none left for the tables of two. And then they wouldn't come back with anything else! Food came and went and hardly any touched our plates. We were seated for almost 2.5hrs over the course of the evening and barely ate! I even had to request one of the steaks be brought to us, as we had been offered chicken three times but no steak ever made it to us! What we DID eat, was delicious. So it's a shame! They even have hot sides, which is pointless as these went cold by the time we received any meat to eat it with. Don't expect a Fazenda type of salad bar - there is far less choice at Jardim but the quality of what was there, was very good and plentiful. Quality of drinks (draught beer and cocktail) was very good. We had spoken to a member of the team to let them know we weren't happy, and service did resume for around 5-10 mins and then unfortunately dropped again to the point we felt ignored. It was clear that the waiters bringing the food to tables did not have a clear and methodical way of serving each table and meant some tables had first selection and others had absolutely nothing. It's a shame! We wanted to love it and perhaps another night with staggered sittings rather than 28 people being seated together in one room for NYE would work. We mentioned to the team member again our issue, and stated we felt we didn't have the same experience as others dining and we were offered a generous discount upon the bill which we appreciated however I'm not sentimental about spending the money on a quality meal and top-notch service and don't enjoy taking money away from a small business so I hope the team take my honest feedback on board and improve their...

Even though the food is absolutely amazing, the meat is neat and possibly best meat I’ve had in Manchester, the service was horrendous. We went on Valentine’s Day which I get it, it’s busy and obviously everything is a bit delayed. But.. We were sat in the restaurant for 20min and we weren’t even offered some water. When I asked the waiter to come over so we can order, he apologised and took our drinks and sides’ order. 45min later, I watch the lady sat next to us, getting her cocktail which she only ordered 5 min ago. At that point, I need to refer we hadn’t even got water still, drinks or any sides. And the meat was moving around not being served to us as we didn’t even have anything on our table. I had to ask another waiter, who was very kind and apologetic on behalf of the other waiter. Overall, 1 hour sat in a very nice restaurant not being able to enjoy our night. The manager was very lovely and came and apologised too and the drinks were on the house but that wasn’t the point.

We had left our baby at home with the babysitter to have a romantic Valentine’s Day date for the first time after a while and we ended up coming back home quite disappointed of the overall experience.

We were shocked the initial waiter didn’t even approach our table to apologise for forgetting to send our order.

we were told the computer system messed up, but.. come on guys. I’ve been a waitress in very busy restaurants when I was younger and I’ve worked with computers or order systems that had a blackout but I was always checking everyone’s table all the time. Even if it was the computer that lost our order, he should have noticed we hadn’t even got our drinks after an hour.

Will go back for the food and hopefully will get a better...
