Unagi Street Food & Sushi Altrincham — Restaurant in Trafford

Beautiful food, everything we tried was delicious. There was loads to choose from, whether a lighter snack, sharing or mains. We went as a larger group and were accommodated well. We did get asked to leave as the table was then needed after 2 or so hours which is understandable from a business point of view. We were told when booking that the table wasn’t needed by a certain time and then we were given 5 minutes to leave bearing in mind we were there for a birthday celebration and we’re just eating the cake.

The staff were very polite and so informative on the menu which I really appreciated having never been before. They did have one or two none alcoholic cocktails available but not loads of choice other than that and the usual coke type and juice drinks if you aren’t drinking alcohol. It is also on the pricey side but very worth it in my opinion.

Me and my partner were visiting the area for business, we randomly found this food truck and we decided to have a small snack while we were looking for place for dinner. We got fried chicken & fries squid.

Fried Chicken Crispy and fresh! Nice seasoning, and it came with some kind of sauce, taste a bit like sushi ginger with mayo, very good combination.

Fried Squid As a big fan of fried squid, this one didn't disappoint me! Crispy, fresh, and tasty. It also came with the sauce I mention above.

Now it's the only down part - the price is way to expensive for the portion. The portion was really small (as you can see compare with the hand in the pic), and it cost £9 for each. Later we had dinner at nearby restaurant, for £9 we could get a proper big portion of meal there.

Just got home after an amazing meal at unagi. My Little boy and I went to the cinema to watch a movie and unagi is his fav takeout so I said after the film we’d go. When we got there it was super busy and fully booked.Josh the manager squeezed us on the bar (which my son found very exciting) and went above and beyond as he knew how much he wanted to eat In at the new restaurant. Marcie was our waitress who was equally amazing and even gave him some learner chop sticks as she knew he wanted to try. The food is always delicious especially the salt and pepper squid,but the atmosphere and service tonight was fantastic and really made our night. Thank you. We will be back...
