Truly a wonderful and Personable experience. The price for the quality of food is spot on, and Anson is such a delight to talk about is is so knowledgeable and interested in what he's doing. You can tell Memories is a Passion for him and not just a cafe. I've made this my weekly treat.
Liquid brownie - 10/10, made with black tea its very savory with the right amount of chocolate on the rim of the glass in the shape of sauce and curls that its like two drinks in one. Not overpowering in anyway, just refreshingly delicious and for me personally, just right!
Salt and pepper chips - 10/10 Not like what we've grown accustomed to, these are crispy one the outside and wonderfully fluffy inside, the powdered flavouring means you get the full flavour without any of the soggy chips we're used to getting. A wonderful side!
Cheese Chicken - 7/10, crispy fried chicken drumsticks in a cheese powder?! Wild. Its sweeter than I would expect, and normally i am not a cheese fan because i expected a cheese sauce! Theyre tossed in powdered cheese which means even whilst waiting for it to cool down it was still moist and crispy! If just the chicken is anything to go for, I'm very excited to try the others, especially the honey mustard and Korean spicy!
Matcha Latte - 9/10, had a wonderful little tree on top! Fantastic complement to the cheese chicken, with a deep savoury and a slight bitterness that was lovely! Just right with what I wanted and needed! Only 9/10 because I could drink a jug of it!
Caramel Waffles - 11/10 with a biscoff ice cream that's not overpowering - again im not normally a fan of biscoff but it was a lovely subtle flavour through a rich and umptuous icecream with a light caramel sauce, and 2 waffled Croissants that had no hint of burn taste it was perfectly done and the best ending to a fantastic meal! With a sprinkle of brown sugar before they were Waffles, it left a beautiful crunch whilst the inside was still a pillowy soft pastry! Heavenly!
Truly a masterpiece of thoughtful food and interesting takes, well...
Read moreLittle gem in Altrincham! I'm very, very fussy eater in terms of finding perfect meal when eating out. I love eating out and trying new things but didn't find perfect place yet. Until last night.... ....The FRIED CHICKEN there...Oh My God..heaven in you mouth. We had honey and mustard flavour. Never tried such a great cooked juicy chicken and this taste was heaven. Size of drumsticks are bigger than average in UK so 4 drumsticks It would be enough to get full for one person.
KIMCHI on the side. Amazing perfet taste. I love kimchi. Its one of my top favourite dish but hard to find good one. But this one was so tasty. Just could be much more spicy for my taste or as a suggestion they could serve two options spicy and light.
Suggestion..If could suggest something..I would love to try some SPICY SOUPS there if they ever think to serve some. I believe I would be amazed too.
COCKTAILS..oh my ...another thing you wouldn't find anywhere in Altrincham for sure, don't know in town, but definitely not for this price. We both had molecular Cocktails. So spectacularly served by the owner and the taste ..was just perfect! Coffee the same. My partner loves cordado and not many places doing good job so hes hard to be pleased. He loved it there. We just melted in this place. I could leave my kitchen now and eat every day in there. I used to be a chef myself and I cook every day at home so I am very fussy and picky if it comes to cooking and love perfectly served food and taste needs to be great, so I have to say this again, I'm sorry, this place is unreal. I know, only tried 2 dishes and two cocktails, but those were just perfect, so I strongly believe all dishes are full of flavours too, which I'm going to find out soon as definitely coming back. Now this is my favourite place in Alty. 10...
Read moreThis is beyond bad. The beef bimbimbap is dominated by rice. The fried chicken isn't Korean Spicy despite naming as such but more like BBQ. The brown sugar bubble tea taste like water and the bubble itself is under cooked. Almost everything are under seasoned. The only dish that I can give it a pass is the glass noodles, and the spicy dip came with the bimbimbap. That's where the star belongs to. I can sense their passion, but they under deliver on quality, and quality is the primary factor to accquire and retain customers.
Update: thanks for the reply. Yes, BBQ wasn't on the menu, yet it ends up taste like so. For the bubble tea, it is "brown sugar" which I should have taste it the moment I drink it and get the sense of "oh it is brown sugar", but it didn't happen. Ideally, I wish there will be tea aroma lingers after the sip, but instead I got a blend taste. And as a matter of fact, the syrup was added in batches, and end up adding the whole thing to give it a pass. It is not about milk power or some premium ingrediants, but something more problematic at the core. I don't mean to be harsh, but this is the most constructive opinion I can give. I hope there will be improvements, and when I visit again in the future, I wish I can taste it.
P.S.: We are both verse and deeply interested in food and had the chance to try different foods in different versions, which we are confident in providing the...
