Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Trafford

Family of 6, parents and 4 children aged 3-12. We weren't even greeted we had to hunt staff to be seated, a grumpy woman (manager) showed us to the table. No one told us about ordering ourselves, when we had ordered, no one explained the salad bar or showed us where it was (we were sat well out of site of it) so we didn't use this sevice. We were given glasses for refillable drinks but werent shown where the drinks machine was. When we got a fanta there were floating clumpy bits of brown in it so we returned it to be told its normal.

When the food arrived - some of it was missing but the staff were no where to be seen, no one did a check back to see if we had all of our food and to see if the food was OK. We left our food and chased staff round yet again, twice with different members of staff and 30 minutes later it had still not arrived. We asked for the manager which turned out to be who was 'looking after us' - she placed her hands in the table to lean while talking to us and her fingers and nails were absolutely filthy and she didn't smell pleasant at all - she blamed other staff even though we had chased her about it directly. By this point all my 3 year old wanted was ice cream so we told them not to bother as it was nearing kids bed time after our 3 hour visit of running round. She said she would try to get us a discount of £25 then wondered off again and didn't come back to confirm anything. When it came to the ice cream factory, we had no spoons or bowls for adults, the ice cream section was filthy and the pots of 'toppings' were pretty much empty - AGAIN we had to chase staff for spoons with a very unhappy 3 year old. One member of staff I didn't catch the name of did check we were okay just as we were leaving and we explained what had happened, he was disgusted with the service we had received. If you want a nice relaxing family meal - this is not the place for you.

Just to add - things we didn't mention while we were there but good to know for families... The kids bolagnaise was very unpleasant and was left basically un touched and all the chips are seasoned with something that the kids all said was spicy. We enjoyed the chips but the kids...

I loved the place . First if all , you get free parking in trafford center which is a nice thing to not worry about a parking place . The ambiance is nice with yummy pizza on top. Love the salad bar with different variety . It was nice but nothing out of the box thing as you can make it at home as well. But i guess it is a nice package to have different sort of salads with your meal. There is variety of pizzas and deals in the menu like single meal deal , family meal deals , group deals or just starters as well if someone wants to go light with their diet plans !!😊 You can order starters with some salads as well if you want to have a light bite !! In starters there were chicken bites , wings and garlic bread as well . There was some stuff as well. For their main menu you can get all sort of variety like vegetarian pizzas , chicken tandoori , beef pizza with options for spicy or hot . You have options for bacon as well . There are some add on's as well if some one wants to add some in there pizza !! You get options for crust as well which i liked the most . Instead of ordering garlic bread or garlic bites individually you can order it with your pizza as shown in the picture below . Then if you take a full meal deal other than just pizza you get options for deserts as well with the deal including starters !! I had icecream in desert with sprinkles and you can add gummy bears or chocloate syrup as you like to have . It was cool to have such options !! Overall i enjoyed eating my pizza with salad and desert. Nice to spend time with friends or family with yummy food . Last but not least toilets were clean too. As sometimes you do not get cleaned toilets or some are out of tissue paper as well but this...

Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Found a Beetle in the Food

I had one of the most horrifying dining experiences at the Pizza Hut located in the Trafford Centre. During the weekday buffet, my 15-year-old son selected the Four Cheese Broccoli Pasta. While eating, he felt something sharp in his mouth that pricked his tongue. When he spat it out, we were shocked to discover it was a black beetle with a missing head—clearly still somewhere in the pasta serving dish

To make matters worse, the hygiene around the buffet area was appalling. There was a thick layer of dust near the pasta dish and a large black fly sitting on the wall—clear signs of poor cleanliness and food safety standards.

When we raised this with a staff member who appeared to be the manager, his response was completely unacceptable. He smirked, said, “I don’t know how it got in there,” and then proceeded to break the beetle up and mix it into the rest of the food on the plate, saying “if it came from the food, it would be a bit broken.” No apology. No accountability. Just a casual refund and a mutter to a colleague before walking off.

My son was visibly distressed, and after returning home, he was physically sick. As someone with experience in the food industry, I have never witnessed such poor hygiene or such an unprofessional, insensitive response from staff.

We’ve been visiting the Trafford Centre with family for years, but after this, I’m not sure we’ll be returning. This incident was not just disgusting—it was a serious health and safety concern. I will be reporting it to Environmental Health and Pizza Hut UK.
