Rokka Cocktail Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Trafford

We had an awful experience unfortunately. We booked a table for 8 people at 7.30pm. We arrived on time and was stood at the door for 5 mins before anyone seeing to us to advise where our table was. When they arrived they said just give us two mins and we will seat you. We were seated at around 7.40pm after being stood in the overcrowded doorway before being seated. To be fair our drinks order was taken fairly quickly and the drinks arrived very soon after. We ordered our food approximately 7:50- 07:55pm. We waited patiently until 8:50pm before asking how long it would be before getting our food. The waiter I asked said he will check with the kitchen, went to the kitchen then walked straight pass me without an update. I found another waiter 5 mins later who advised it’s busy so it’s going to take longer so still no estimated time of arrival for food. My party took the decision to leave hungry and upset. I asked another waiter for our drinks bill so we could leave and he said just wait it’ll be another 4 mins. I advised we are not waiting any further as I do not trust the food will arrive in 4 mins as the other waiters could not even give me an estimate. He then got another member of staff who I think was the manager he said the food will be out in two minutes. At this point we just wanted to leave. I told him the service has been terrible, no one has been to our table since getting our drinks to see if everything was ok or if we wanted to order any further drinks and it has taken for me to ask multiple times about my food to get an answer. Again he told me to sit down as it will be 2 mins. I told him he has 2 mins to get my drinks bill ready so I can pay and leave this then took a further 3-4 mins. Then he finally said due to the inconvenience we did not have to pay for our drinks then we left. I am beyond disappointed as this was. A meal to celebrate my sons 18th birthday and it was ruined without any option to go elsewhere. I love to support local businesses but unfortunately I will not be...

First time here (2couples). Beautiful interior, the toilets were something else!!!, black toilets, sinks etc beautiful. Staff very attentive & pleasant, Food very good, portions ok BUT slightly expensive as are the drinks. Nearly £20 service charge????? was going to question it but taxi waiting. Service ok for 3 of us, but, hubby ended up eating on his own due to his mixed grill (which he said was a bit dry) being delayed. Very busy (Fri night,new restaurant??). Our friends asked for the music(???) to be turned down, as we couldn't hear each other, why not just play background music? Waitress asked if everything was OK when paying the bill,but didn't hang around for our comments. Someones review stated difficult to park?- there is a multi storey 5mins walk away. ...

Came here on Saturday 07.09.24 evening in a group booking of 7 for my Birthday 🎂 Firstly although I called in and personally gave my booking to them for 8 of us, they had not put my name to the booking 😕 The service was dreadful, it was like Faulty Towers, they did not know who ordered what when bringing food and drink out, never seen service like this before. Took 15 minutes to just get a drink order taken 🙄 Staff were very nice, but they looked like they had not been trained properly. Food was good apart from the Moussaka which had been over cooked and taken off the bill. Shame as its a nice place, I live local but would not go again for such bad service.
