First time going to Lilly’s. Initially we went to pay at the bar and the waitress was really unpleasant and rude. Then I sat down and within 2 minutes had an entire tray of coffee poured over me by one of the waitresses. I said don’t worry and was chilled about it but I’ve had to bin a pair of trainers, my pants were completely soaked my coats got coffee all over it and my jumper has. I wasn’t going to write a review as these things happen but I’m disgusted about the response from the staff. I was completely respectful to the employee who did it and didn’t make a big deal about it. all I said was don’t worry about it as these things happen and I felt bad for her. But nobody checked to see if I was okay despite having piping hot coffee poured all over me, we weren’t offered a refund or any sort of condolence. When I came out of the toilet the manager or a senior member of staff just stared at me and didn’t say a word. And for those who think I’m over exaggerating my pants were dripping in hot coffee. Completely covered. Basic common decency would be to realise a big mistake has been made and check the person is okay. And then to work on making it right....
Read moreAbsolutely awful. The woman taking the orders was so miserable as if she was doing us a favour. We ordered 2 x eggs benedict, a beef ciabatta, pot of tea for 2 and a soft drink . £26.75!!!!! "Lightly toasted muffin, crispy bacon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce" it said. The muffin was soggy with the undercooked smoked very fatty bacon on it, the egg was fine but everything was sat in runny hollandaise sauce which had never been on top of the egg, it would have run off. My colleague got a hair for free in his dry beef ciabatta with salad. Ridiculous teacups balancing on saucers that could so easily cause a spillage were another disappointment. The days when it was a small coffee bar on Flixton Road were so much better, we would always be in there it was so good. The dessert cakes look familiar, which reminds me, I need a trip to Costco...not to Lilys in future....

My son had to leave to go and get changed because he was absolutely wet through. Never once did the assistant manager come over and apologise, apparently when I asked to speak to her as we left she said she was waiting for my son to return so she could offer him a piece of cake to say sorry and didn't realise he hadn't because she was on her lunch. We were never offered a refund for the meal, and frankly, the assistant managers attitude was appalling. I would have thought that in an establishment such as Lilys customer service would be at the forefront of...
