The Lodge Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Trafford

Just terrible.

We were very early for our skiing lessons so went in here for a drink, ordered our drinks and the young girl behind the bar barely said a word, she didn't actively acknowledge us when we went up to the bar she just stood in silence until we ordered, then poured our drinks and plonked them on the bar, ran the payment to the card machine and again said nothing. I think perhaps at most she said Thanks or another one word remark.

After the skiing they direct you up here for a free drink that was included as part of the lesson cost. Our lessons were at 8 so it was about 10:15 by the time we had returned kit and got up to the bar. A young girl behind the bar, perhaps the same as earlier, completely ignored us despite us being stood right in front of her and then started collecting beer drip mats instead, so the lad adjacent came over to serve despite being further away. He was at least nice and well mannerer but they were actively shutting down the bar, so no draught options were available. Only the stuff in the fridge they said, the Asahi was alcohol free and the Peroni was gluten free which always gives an odd taste so the only other option was Corona for a beer. The missus asked for a white wine but they said that wasn't allowed either so basically only cider was the choice. No sooner had we got drinks then they started turning all the lights and TVs off essentially forcing everyone out.

The only reason I've given 2 and not 1 star is because of the lad behind the bar who was polite and a decent view...

Ordered a breakfast and it came without hash browns, tomatoes and the toast didn't come with butter. I only found out that they had ran out of hash browns when one of our party, who ordered a vegetarian breakfast asked why she didn't have two hash browns or vegetarian sausages and the reply was "we have ran out of hash browns". 20 minutes later she has finished her food and still no vegetarian sausages have arrived. Very disappointed not to have been told this at the point of ordering and was still charged...

I come here because it means something to me! I enjoy watching the slopes and it’s where I took my girlfriend for the first time, the staff are polite and nice but the service did frustrate me.

There was 3 staff at the bar and my food which I ordered was just waiting on the pass which I could see and they all just walked past it and just didn’t serve the food.

Then when I received the food my burger was pink, now I have an upset stomach, was it the burger? Who knows but I don’t think I’ll get the...
