Poppins — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

Awful experience twice now , avoid First time sausages tasted disgusting , they were off Second time …..don’t even know where to start , was treated like I’m gone still something , asked to sit outside when staff member came with food said ( are you still here?) no I ll do a runner with an orange juice :)) Asked for a junior meal at £4.85 I think some nuggets , chips and beans been told is not enough for me ……excuse me ?? In the end said I ll do you ( no details of what or how much extra ….end up paying £11.25 , glass of orange juice which was brown , a few pieces of nuggets , chips and some beans ……rip off man , better go to German kebab or Gregg’s or any other sandwich deals , don’t recommend , will never...

Asked the waitress three times for some tap water to take some pills, she decided to go and clean tables instead. Ordered one scrambled egg on toast got charged for two. Ordered half a pound cheeseburger and the small thing come up that weighed no more than 2 oz, the meat tasted like mechanically recovered chicken beef and anything else that they could make into the cheapest patty possible.

They then put 10% service charge on the bill and when you go up to pay it there's another big jar with money in it saying tips to try and con you into putting more money in a tip box avoid like plague food is rubbish....

Food was acceptable but they trick people with their menu prices. It states Extras.. scrambled eggs £0.30, but they charged £1.75. The waitress said it was £0.30 and made the error. They said it was no charge to scramble the eggs but when paying the guy said it costs us to add butter and added £0.6. They charged us £0.7 per jam when the waitress said it was included in the Toast serving. Whether it is a bad menu or untrained staff… this is poor. So I should have paid £24 but they charged me £27.6 and insisted I was wrong. Poor… clearly the ownership are not of the culture of England never mind...
