Avoid at all cost! I was there in the 2nd week of August 2023 I ordered a beer and got a warm bottle slammed on the table, I asked for a cold one but the waitress said they didn't have any, and offered to put in in the fridge! I asked for it to be taken off the bill but she refused. If this is the level of service to the customer up front then what do you think goes on in the kitchen? Food came 2 hours after we had ordered and it was terrible , it all looked and tasted the same, dry duck, mushy tastless goo that was supposed to be a sauce, I would not give this food to a dog , the dog would probably die from MSG overdose . We’ve only ordered from here a couple of times, usually when we can’t get through to Saffron Walden Chinese.

Can’t comment on dining in so I won’t but every time we’ve had a takeaway there’s been an issue.

Usually missing items, or an incorrect dish. Tonights food was awful, we ordered Kung Pao chicken and it turns out like the attached picture. It was like boiled chicken in a tasteless broth with a few veg added. Usually it’s crispy with a sweet sauce, like every other saffron Walden Chinese does.

We had a takeaway from here yesterday and sadly it was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Crispy chilli beef was tasteless and chewy, sweet and sour chicken balls were grey and looked like they were reheated from the day before. One dish wasn't the one we ordered. Thank god we ordered a Satay sauce to pour over everything to get through it. Also seemed expensive compared to others in Walden. We had leftovers but decided to bin it all.. Which I'd NEVER do.
