Greggs — Restaurant in Wakefield

Doesn't matter what time of day you go, the pastries are always mildly warm to stone cold.

This is a store that 100% takes advantage of it's location.

It's a miserable experience where you pick out what looks like a tasty treat but ends up being a flat out disappointment. Time and again over the years have I thought "Maybe it was a one off. I'll try again" and end up throwing the pastry away, or gnawing on tough sinewy freezing coldness because it's been sold to me under temperature.

The only time you gain exception is if you ask them "Which ones are hot?" Which frankly - they all should be. And you might get a warm pastry but it isn't without the irked attitude of the staff who for some reason seem offended that you've requested for a pastry as they should be served.

The staff here - particularly the management - need to go re-do their food hygiene and make themselves aware that hot food MUST be served at or above a certain temperature.

If you want a disappointment to set the ball rolling into a bad mood, by all means eat here.

I guess the cold food is okay. They can have one...

Staff are very friendly, well msot of them there is a couple that look like they don't want to be at work but we all have our off days. The food is warm I could be hotter but you get what you pay for I guess.

They do have a big selections of breakfast, lunch and snack items. I recommend using their app if you buy a lot of coffee and get free rewards while you spend. The indoor seating area is kept pretty clean but I believe that's because alot choose to go else where and eat do to the price increase...

Been left absolutely disgusted with how a member of staff spoke to my girlfriend today. We came to greggs at Wakefield bus station and we both ordered a latte. The Male staff member who served me had amazing customer service but his female colleague who served my girlfriend spoke in a very miserable disgusting way In fact so miserable that she should not of come to work.
