Bake Station — Restaurant in Wales

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day and yesterday I thought I'd try the "Bake Station" in Cearphilly. I love to start of with a possitive, and I can definitely say that the staff are very friendly. I placed my order online and then went to collect. I was only staying a walk away from there so I walked over just after I'd ordered. When I got back I relised an Item of my order was missing so had to call them, it turns out they had forgotten to place my extra item in with the bag. So after going back over and retrieving my item I was ready to eat. I ordered a full English Breakfast as I thought you couldn't really go wrong with a classic... Boy was I WRONG. The beans were very obviously tinned and they managed to overcook them, the Sausages had a funny play-doe like taste and texture. I moved onto the bacon hoping that this could be the meat that saves the meal, again I was let down instantly the Bacon was truly Bizarre it stated and had the texture of Raw ham, was stone cold also. The hash browns were soggy but bareable. Honestly this was not the breakfast experience I was hoping for. It's truly awful that they could charge £7 for this meal. A store that looks like a lovely place to grab breakfast but in reality is a poor poor attempt at a classic meal. When I had enough of my meal I thought to myself "what's the best way to describe this food?" and I came up with the perfect sentence: It's like the artificial food you'd eat if you were going to Mars and had to replicate meals...

So I’m a new bus driver and new to Caerphilly. Had a 2 hour break to kill so wanted to try this place. Sat down and a lady cleaned my table for me and gave me a menu and said she’ll come back in a few minutes but different lady came back about 10 minutes later to take my order. Ordered a latte with extra shot and she told me I should have a cappuccino because it’s stronger. So basically ended up with a weak cappuccino !

Ordered an omelette with sweet potato fries instead of fries that it came with. The coffee came out and the lady didn’t say anything to me. Just put it down. I took a sip and burnt 🔥 the inside and roof of my mouth.

Anyway. Food came out about 10 minutes after the coffee and when I start to eat it i couldn't really enjoy it because my mouth being burnt. Food...

The girl who served us was lovely and friendly, that unfortunately, was the nicest thing I could say about our experience here. The owner was sat in the cafe and not just ignored us but turned his back on us! The "cappuccino" was awful, it looked like a flat White and tasted weak. My breakfast was awful, the sausage were cheap and nasty and I'm not entirely convinced they were meat, the bacon was also cheap and nasty turkey rashers, all in all bland and tasteless. My husband ordered a cheese and ahem, "bacon" panini, it was again bland and tasteless. I can only say that if you advertise bacon, it should be bacon.
