Title: Disappointing Experience at Cafe Largo Pwllheli Rating: ★★ ★ Date of Visit: July 20th, 2023 Location: Cafe Largo, Pwllheli I recently revisited Cafe Largo in Pwllheli on July 20th, 2023. While I've enjoyed my previous visits, this time was quite disappointing. The ambiance of the cafe remains pleasant, and the location is convenient. However, my experience was marred by two concerning incidents. Firstly,In the past I was disheartened to find a hair in my food, marking the second time it has happened during my visits. Food hygiene is a critical aspect of any dining establishment, and such incidents should not be recurring. To make matters worse, one of the staff members served my food and made an inappropriate comment. They rudely asked if I would like to check my order for any issues before serving it to me. This made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed as a customer. On the positive side, the food quality was reasonable, and the menu offered a variety of choices. I must commend the previous service, which was usually friendly and attentive. However, I strongly urge Cafe Largo to take the issues of food hygiene and staff behavior seriously. Proper hygiene practices must be maintained to ensure the well-being of customers, and staff members should be trained to provide courteous and respectful service. During this visit, I tried their jacket potato tuna and mayo it was enjoyable. Overall, based on my latest experience, I find it hard to recommend Cafe Largo in Pwllheli. The recurring hygiene issue and the impolite staff behavior were significant drawbacks to what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope the management takes these concerns into account and makes the necessary improvements to regain the trust of...
Read moreWe went for breakfast with our small dog and waited 5 minutes infront of the till and was completely ignored while 3 other tables were given away and we had to speak up and ask if there were any tables available and was told there were not when we could see tables open not reserved for a few hours.Staff were very cold, unwelcoming and unfriendly. No eye contact was given and not spoken to at all. But what annoys us too is the left side of the cafe was dog friendly but only one person actually had a dog so why can people without dogs go to the dog part but people with dog cant go to the rest of the cafe. Its a real shame because we came last week for breakfast and it was delicious food and we had a lovely experience but after today we will not be returning and i dont recommend this place if you have a pet because it felt as though we had a pet and lost all...
Read moreThis was far and away the best place my wife and I ate in all week we were on holiday. The staff give the impression that not only do they have pride in what they do but enjoy doing it: what a lovely personable team they make. My wife had the lasagne and I had a prawn sandwich both were excellent. I concur with some other reviews regarding the coleslaw - delicious. I think their Facebook page/ website needs to publicise the fact that there are some gluten free options and dogs are welcome outside at the very least. So despite not being able to sample any of the scrumptious looking cake (xantham gum is the magic ingredient) I can’t bring myself to deduct a star. If we are ever in Pwllheli again we will head straight there. The only thing I hope has changed is the person who makes the cakes has perfected making...
