China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Wales

The quality of the food is very good BUT the delivery time is appalling on the weekends. The delivery consistently takes more orders than they can fulfill and doesn't bother updating customers it's going to be late. On more than one occasion I have waited over 2 hours for delivery (on a one hour quote). My recommendation is to stick to sun-thurs!

EDIT: in the last few months they have gone from 3 stars to 5, they have employed extra weekend drivers to handle the increased demand, there food has stayed consistently good

EDIT 2: Back down to 3 stars, they need to get there timing sorted out! I decided to do collection because I didn't want to wait the 90min for delivery, when I arrived (at the time they said) I was told they were running late and I should wait in the car, that was 20 min ago and I'm unhappy. I have seen there delivery guy collecting orders twice now so they are obviously taking on far more orders than they can handle. If they had said a different time I would have arrived then and saved myself a wasted night.

Never been to the restaurant as I always order a takeaway for delivery.

This is the best Chinese takeaway food I have found in North Wales, the food is always tasty and the meat is of high quality. I always order things like duck dishes, spring rolls, prawn toast, rice, noodles & prawn crackers. I can never fault any of it. I’d highly recommend the place.

Sometimes the delivery takes a while, but this isn’t a problem for me as I understand they are busy (as the food is so good). I always ask what the waiting time is when ordering over the phone, and they’ve never gone over this time which is great!

The delivery man is always friendly and has a smile on his face, which goes a long way!

We are fairly new to the area and were trying to book a restaurant table at the weekend. Everywhere was booked up until we tried ringing this establishment. Surprisingly they could book a table for any time we wanted. We had never visited before but turned up at the appointed time and immediately left. From what I could see this is basically a take away with a few tables within what is the waiting area for those collecting take away meals. It was very busy with people waiting for take aways and many were even sitting at the tables waiting their turn. Noone else was actually sitting and eating.
