The coffee was lovely and sandwiches were decent. The price however didn’t reflect the quality of food and general experience of visiting the cafe. There were flies on the pastries which put us off buying them, the tables didn’t feel very clean and we felt food was overpriced. I think if you were just popping in for a takeout coffee then it would be perfect.

Popped in here for some hot drinks as it's dog friendly which is a huge plus when travelling with dogs. The staff love the dogs as much as the customers and make sure they are comfortable and watered ❤️🐶. They do the best oat Hot chocolate! The lattes are great too, really good coffee and great service. Toilets were clean too! Would recommend a coffee#1.

Please don’t put ‘Flat White’ on your menu when you haven’t a clue what one is or how to make it. Pouring too hot milk with zero texture from a bucket sized jug into a Flat White cup isn’t it. Add a centimetre of froth and you are about as far from what it should be as you can get. You need to work on dialling in your coffee as well.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Coffee#1, and I can confidently say it was one of the best coffee experiences I’ve ever had.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The cozy ambiance combined with the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee instantly made me feel at home.

Quality of Coffee: The coffee at Coffee#1 is nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re a fan of a strong espresso, a creamy latte, or something more adventurous, their wide selection has something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the [specific coffee you tried] which was perfectly brewed and full of rich, complex flavors.

Service: The staff at Coffee#1 truly go above and beyond to make your visit memorable. They are not only knowledgeable about their products but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to answer all my questions and provided great recommendations.

Food & Pastries: To complement their excellent coffee, Coffee#1 offers a variety of delicious pastries and snacks. I highly recommend the [specific pastry or snack] which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to my coffee.

Ambiance: The decor is charming and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to relax, catch up with friends, or even get some work done. The free Wi-Fi and ample seating add to the convenience.

Overall Experience: Coffee#1 is a gem. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers high-quality coffee, exceptional service, and a welcoming environment. I highly recommend it to any coffee lover looking for their next...

Really, one of the poorest branches of this chain I've visited felt like a grimey old weatherspoon's pub.

We entered the cafe, struggled to find a table on the ground floor, no lift to access upper level. As we looked around, some customers left, and we were able to use their table.

We moved their empty mugs, etc. I then cleaned the table with baby wipes. If the dirt on the wipes was anything to go by, then the table hadn't been wiped down for a while.

All while i did this, two staff members were serving and taking along time to serve, 3 customers in front of my partner. She'd also been to the toilet and said the facilities had run out of Hand Soap and tissue paper. 😳

We were eventually served, about 20 minutes after entering and ordered our drinks and snacks.

Drinks and food were the usual expected standards, and service was average at best.

One final point was one female staff member serving on the till while we were at our table had issues with a customers payment, she'd tried to appease the customer to her credit but then i could hear her saying 'this effing app' to her colleague, all within earshot of our young children. If i had to hazard a guess, I've said this lady was the manager or shift...

Having walked a couple of miles into town we wanted to find a dog friendly cafe and this was the first we came across. Downstairs was rammed so we headed upstairs, as a group of 6 we were disappointed to see all but one were set up for 2-4 people max, and most clientele here were students on laptops. The one proper 4 seater was covered in used cups and plates on trays and cleaning bowls and sprays, however I found 2 additional seats, pulled them to the table and hoped some staff would appear to continue clearing the table. They didn't, so I moved them myself to some nearby vacant 2 seater tables, before fetching our coffee. We enjoyed our coffee and cakes - the children really loved their Halloween gingerbread skeletons. There was only one toilet available/working, the disabled/baby change downstairs. The soap dispenser was empty but fortunately we had some hand sanitiser on us. I never saw any other staff to mention it to, and I never saw anyone come upstairs either so the trays were all still there when we left. A nice place let down by possibly not enough staff (in their defence, all the staff I did see were really busy at the never ending queue...
