I've only been to Aberdyfi twice (and only bought ice cream once---student budget problems), but I've enjoyed the experience both times. Like most shops, you can sample the flavors before you buy, though personally, the salted caramel only needed one taste to win my heart. I got the cheapest cone with two scoops for 3.50, and I wasn't disappointed. You can also get free(?) sauces with the cones, though I forgot to ask for one. There is a good selection of options, many of which are vegan.

The day I went was cold and blistery, so the shop was basically empty when I arrived. Service was quick and the tall gentleman who served me helpful and friendly. The only real inconveniene is the shop is currently only open two days a week for a few hours on those days, making it a bit trikcy to plan around as my friend was only in town for one of those days, and I was determined to take her here. We came here yesterday (Mon 28th July) and sat at a table outside. The staff are super, and the ice creams are out of this world! Three of us had a sundae, and we had a little tub of doggy ice cream for our two dogs. We obviously didn't try the doggy ice cream, lol, but the sundaes were divine.
