Very steamy on a wet day. Food was ok if over priced. My egg and mushroom bun was good but didn't look much for the money. Smoothies are nice and good value. Lettuce hardly worth the effort. Was good to get out for some fresh air!!

Fine for an emergency coffee, but it was just standard quality. Iced tea as were we’ve unmixed for reasons I cannot fathom. didn’t rate the food. The cinnamon roll was very heavy doughy and wet. Regretted eating it.

Lovely staff, food v average (ham& cheese panini). Iced mocha quite nice though not mixed very well. Loads of space to sit (we were with a pram so v handy) but to be honest there must be better places around, sorry!

Went to Coffee 1 today in Pontcanna Cardiff sat with my dog for 30 mins when my husband arrived my small caveshon was so pleased to see him and barked then stopped. I was then approached by the tall middle aged grey haired chap called Ryan who rudely said that if we didn’t keep the dog quiet we would have to leave. I was quite annoyed as he was quite loud and aggressive and left me feeling embarrassed by his tone in front of other customers. Upon leaving I decided to express my feelings to him in private to which he preferred to have this conversation in front of other customers, he was still very aggressive then cut me off in mid conversation. Unknown to me this was being observed by the so called manager I was then told to come to the side of the counter where the manager started to listen to my complaint. I asked for the barista name so I could complain only to be told by the manager that he wouldn’t give any names out and that I should leave. I left told my husband who went back in to speak to the manager who then reluctantly gave their names.I have read the other reviews and question why these pair are still there. They are rude aggressive and don’t like dogs making a noise even though it’s supposed to be dog friendly. I have made a complaint to head office and I believe some training is needed otherwise coffee 1 will lose customers. So Yuri ( the manager) and Ryan ( the tall curly grey haired barista) re train or work elsewhere that doesn’t involve dogs/ children and people. Won’t be...

I was publically humiliated today for not wearing my mask because of my asthma. I stood socially distanced in a queue of 8 while the supervisor shouted across the cafe at me to put on a mask. He shouted this at me from the kitchen about 10 metres away, for all to see and hear. I was shocked and froze not knowing what to do with everyone watching. He then loudly moaned and marched up to me asking where my mask was, to which I replied I have asthma. He immediately walked away without an apology. embarrassed I hope. When he served me no apology was made and he pretended nothing happened. It was really unprofessional and humiliating.

The staff at Coffee #1, particularly the supervisor at pontcanna, needs equality training in approaching disabled customers before he loses this demographic. This treatment is actually disability discrimination under the equality act 2010, you could face going to court for discrimination and mistreatment. We dont wear signs on our foreheads for your convenience, it is part of the law that you adhere to knowledge and understanding around health conditions and disabilities. Covid has highlighted your lack of training. Much more is needed from your business.

Wasnt prepared for such a hostile experience on a sunday afternoon. Upsetting and...

Really disappointed with my recent experience with the lack of customer service here from one staff member. Took my family here for breakfast and the food and place looked great, but the Australian middle aged tall man who was serving us was so awfully rude! The constant judgement of us on his face really upset my dad and my sister was upset from his awful service she refused to buy anything from him. The looks we received were of absolute disgust. We were just asking questions because it was our first time in Wales. I tried my hardest to get some kind of humility from him but it was impossible. He even said he runs the other way when he sees other Australians and we were Australian! We found this incredibly rude. He needs training on diversity and discrimination and needs to apologise to my dear father. Disgusting behaviour from a fellow Australian. We will not return. The young man who delivered our food was awesome and should be training the others on providing exceptional...
