Cafe Brava — Restaurant in Wales

We stopped here after staying over in Cardiff after the Taylor Swift concert as we needed food before our drive home! Great menu and an excellent full breakfast with loads of different options for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Although I'm not veggie, I did notice there was a lot of choice for vegetarians. The staff were really friendly and they also welcome dogs although there weren't any there when we were. There's seating out front, inside or out the back and I should also say the coffee was excellent. As well as having a meal in, we got a smoothie and coffee to go cos the choice was just too much! Highly recommended and it was really nice to find an independent business that had great food and service for very reasonable prices! We will visit again and recommend to family and friends who visit...

Waited 30 minutes for brunch, weren't told there was a wait, but also no food was coming out, and the tables weren't being cleared, so not sure why anyone was waiting? Had to chase for an update on the food, and then it came out immediately. Corned beef Hash was more COLD corned beed Mush, didn't eat it, or give the feedback because not at one point, even when we settled the bill, were we asked how anything was. Other half ordered scrambled eggs and smoked salmon- eggs were burnt bits of fried egg as though scraped from a frying pan- didnt at all resemble scrambled eggs. The tables around us all needed clearing, staff didn't seem to notice any customers after taking orders- first time trying this place, won't return. Such a shame as was a treat for us not something we can afford to do...

Horrible experience/customer service.

After our food arrive, we realised that some extras we ordered never came. We politely raised our hand to get the attention of a staff member, once we confirmed the missing order, a different member of staff stormed over to our table and rudely accused us of “clicking our fingers” to get the attention of the staff member before quickly walking away instead of calmly asking us what happened.

After this, the missing order of food was brought to us, still missing an order of hash browns.

As someone who has worked in hospitality previously, the way the staff handled this situation was completely incorrect and soured the experience.

Safe to say this is not a place...
