It was so good to see all the dog lovers coming in for a cup o' coffee/ tea w/ their bestfriends/ fur babies !! They're definitely advanced more than U.S.in this perspective !! I saw lots of ,lots of people walking their dogs everyday in Wales / England happily going into cafes / restaurants w/ their dogs !! I've seen this in Carmel a long time ago in the late 80's so ...that place was a more pioneer ,maybe U.S. started it all ,but U.K.caught it up w/ it & made it better ? Tea was very good ,the staff were very nice / friendly ! I had a cream tea ( 2 scones ) & a piece of pastel of de nata ,which was good ,but the crust was a bit chewy more than crisp ( pastry crust ,not a real pie crust, I prefer pie crust easier to chew for my teeth & texture wise for this pastry myself .)The scones were good ,but not the best .They had a clean bathroom inside of the cafe .And accessible ,I believe ! And there was an outdoor area to have coffee/ tea/ meals in the way back ,sort of hidden ,it was a much bigger place than you expect from the impression by a glance at the front .The pictures on the wall inside about how they felt about dogs & having a coffee time were very nice to see / read !! I loved them !!Yes ,life should be simple !! And it's definitely better with your furry friends in it !!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘I think I made a right pick out of many cafes & restaurants in the area ! Although ,not fair to say it as I didn't visit many of 'em enough there ! I really loved this area !! So- peaceful & lots of greens surrounding & a village like town right by the Monnow Bridge !! ( Waitrose is right by the bus stop & across from the street ,I really liked that one !! A cafe inside of the supermarket, too ! Ant a toilet at the front by the entrance.) Kids were playing by / in the river there ! It's about a 55 min.bus ride from the city center of Newport .Be aware ,though ,some bus driver drive too fast !! πŸ˜… I visited there for a couple of hours twice during my trip in Wales !! Welsh school kids are so sweet & cute !! I asked them for directions & they were so kind ,not pretentious like many kids in L.A. ! Lol. I highly recommend this cafe for all the dog / animal lovers to vist for a cuppa ,tea or coffee w/ their doggie companions !!! I had an organic fruit juice there ,too which was delicious πŸ˜‹!!

I was holidaying locally and skipped the Premier Inn breakfast to eat here for a few mornings as it opened early. Loved the coffee and the breakfast baps brought in are tasty. Preferred the sausage to bacon one as I felt fuller after. The coffee was great and the cinnamon buns were a treat. About Β£13 for two but worth it for the relaxing ambience of the covered outdoor seating area. As the weather was warm it felt like being on holiday abroad. The staff are polite friendly and efficient despite it being early! Plus only a ten minute walk back to the hotel. I wish I had a branch where I lived!

First visit this week on tuesday, loved it so much came back on Thursday (and we live in chepstow!). Great service with a smile, the flat white is superb, and beautifully presented. Proper sourdough toast and great sweet options too. The whole look and feel demonstrates a true quality brand experience from start to finish. The team are lovely, shout out to Gemma who was on duty today. The design standard is high and we will be back with our dog, half lab, half malamute. We’re confident that Keeper (our dog) will fit in perfectly, and be warmly welcomed too. My new fave place in Monmouth.

Disappointing First Visit to Coffi Lab Monmouth

I'm a big fan of the Coffi Lab in Abergavenny and was looking forward to trying the Monmouth location for the first time. Unfortunately, my experience was truly awful.

I came in hoping to get some coffee and their lovely pastries and get some work done and was about to place an order when I received an important phone call, hence a grabbed a table to attend the call. While I was in the middle of this urgent conversation, a staff member approached me and demanded that I purchase something or leave. I tried to acknowledge her with hand gestures to signal I was on a call, but she continued to talk over me, insisting that I needed to buy something to use their Wi-Fi.

This was incredibly frustrating. I had been in the cafe for less than ten minutes and wasn't even using their Wi-Fi (which, from previous experience at other locations, I know can be quite slow anyway). To be interrupted and pressured like that while on a critical call was completely out of line. It's a real shame because I've always had positive experiences with Coffi Lab elsewhere, but this interaction has left a very poor impression of the Monmouth branch. I expressed my frustration to the lady and left immediately as I didn't have any motivation to stay a minute longer. I won't...

This good be 5 star all the way but sadly thw service is shocking been here about 8 times now and sadly no one looks to be in charge which means customers sit around for ages for their food and drinks. The food and drinks are very good and the atmosphere is fantastic but please please please give the staff direction!!! Have a friendly face on the tills to meet and great and SMILE then get people sat down and deliver the drinks instead of always having at least half a dozen stood around looking awkward. Sadly this is the first negative review I have ever given an it's not a personal attack but constructive advise please take this as wanting you to be 5...
