Fantastic food but absolutely manic service. Went here two consecutive days whilst we were visiting. Both times wasn't particularly busy, but the serving staff were totally haphazard, forgetful and manic. Several customers complained about incorrect or missing orders and the lady serving argued with them on both occasions on both days about how she's been doing this 30 years so knows what she's doing! Serving staff were also responsible for drinks and these always seem to come late and with apologies. On the first day our coffees came when we had nearly finished our food. Regardless, the food here is amazing. Easily one of the best eggs benedict I've ever had. Had the breakfast bagel the second day and was brilliant.

Over charged. Challenged, but they couldn't be bothered to add up. No apology. Nearly £20 for an espresso, a latte, Barra brith and a bowl of soup. Having a laugh. Since initially writing the review, I noticed that we are not alone in being overcharged by random amounts. Others have mentioned the dog eared menus, actually, more like the dog had eaten the menu whole. Looking on Indeed, several ex employees have raised issues with tips being withheld, a practice that is now illegal, along with other issues. Let's be positive for a brief moment, my leek and potato soup was passable. Surely all the 1 star reviews here and on Trip Advisor should be a wake up call for the owners?

Over priced for the quality of the food. Me and my partner visited here on our holiday to North Wales. My partner have the veggie burger and I had a mocha coffee with a slice of coffee and walnut cake. My cake was a bit of a let down, couldn't taste the coffee but could taste cinnamon? Also the sponge was dry and the cake was ruined by having way too much icing sugar over it. My partner said the burger was alright but nothing special. The decor of the cafe was nice at least but if we visit North Wales again (which is likely) we won't be coming here again.

From start to finish our experience was absolutely awful!!!! Noisy, ignorant and rude staff turning a family away because they have a pram, taking far too much time to serve, ignoring people waiting to pay to the point a lady took back the tip she had just put in the top jar! I ordered soup and a sandwich no indication that there are only a certain number of sandwiches that were available with the soup then a member of staff shouting over the counter you’ll have to pay extra for Brie! My soup came and it was like water my sandwich on brown bread which I didn’t get the choice of white or brown. No one checked to see if our food was okay the entire time my partner was eating his whilst myself not eating at all. When we stood up to pay the waitress asked if everything was okay as she cleared our plates I said no the soup didn’t taste of anything and I don’t like brown bread barely been touched and all she just said was “sorry about that” and walked off!!! Meanwhile the couple sat behind wanted a drinks menu and Amanda the loud obnoxious member of staff was shouting tea or coffee at them and they just wanted to see a drinks menu to decide whilst shouting at them again tea or coffee, they made a joke between themselves “I think she wants us to have tea or coffee!“ Overall a very stressful lunch time for us both and I can 100% confirm I will not be eating in there again! I walked away after a beautiful calm weekend away climbing mountains feeling very stressed and over whelmed and reduced to tears! I’m not a normal “Karen” and enjoy reviewing the lovely places we dine in however this experience needed to be noted and shared as I honestly wouldn’t recommend I’m all for small businesses and believe in word of mouth but I guess it’s true when they say good experience tell no one bad experience...

After spotting this place whilst walking through town, we looked at the menu and with the door being open and people already sat, dining, we walked in to the entrance and waited at the waiting point as directed by the sign. A waitress then appeared from the back and rather coldly/borderline rudely told us that the they were closed and did not open until 10am, despite there being at least 4 separate couple on other tables. If it’s closed, then fair enough, but the way in which we were greeted was awful. It was 9.58am.

Without a lack of other decent options and being extremely hungry, we decided to wait the two minutes and when eventually invited in, the same waitress delivered a set of Covid guidelines to be followed, once again, in a very cold, unwelcoming and borderline rude manner. We sat down, ordered a jumbo breakfast and was pleased that the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately, despite the food being well presented, the sausages were poor quality, deep-fried offerings and the eggs were hard. The rest was good.

Whilst eating our breakfast, we noticed that as several other customers came in, the waitress treated them in a similar fashion. This woman did not smile once, except for when people were paying, and it was a weak and poorly contrived effort every time.

I realise that many people may be reluctant and ultimately, unhappy about having to be at work and be at greater risk, in the current climate, however, many of us are in the same situation, and in a customer facing role, a good attitude is paramount. I can’t believe that she would have been the owner of the establishment. I can’t imagine anyone in that position, not caring about their customers that much. Whatever her role, she affected the entire experience and ensured that I am unlikely to ever visit...

We visited as tourists, on holiday from England and after admiring conwy castle we searched for a cafe.

First impressions where warm and cosy. There was a modest amount of people already inside, clearly enjoying their food.

However, when it came to ordering it seemed that stock was an issue. My partners first request was sold out and the second request (asking about dessert) we where informed that they "stopped doing that for some reason". Our waitress was either having a bad day or not happy in her Job. She radiated an uncomfortable ""couldn't care" attitude and was blunt and abrasive. We immediately felt a heavy atmosphere. I do recognise that she seemed to be very busy and was the only member of staff trying to do a million different jobs, tend to customers and answer the phone. At one point, i believe stressed would have been an accurate observation. She did however show some nice understanding and immediately let us know my Partners celiac mothers, order that chips couldnt be confirmed that they had been cooked separately.

The milkshakes we had (forrero roche myself, and oreo for my partner) where fantastic, and big too. But not as big, and no where near as satisfying as our food. My partner had the vegetarian Halloumi burger which she truly enjoyed so much she ate far more than we thought she'd be able to and no longer even cared that they had no apple pie.

I myself, had the steak and ale pie which was just absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. Made myself ill from eating too much. Considering it was clear you had a new chef, he was absolutely fantastic and really saved our experience.

A good effort but just a solid 3 for all round experience. If i was local, id be more than willing to give the cafe an extra...
