Just paid £19.50 for the privelage (Not, )of the so called manager who declined to give his name !! To be Down right aggressively rude to my 75 year old mother, what was suppose to be a Nice afternoon tea ,, turned into a stressful occasion. My Mothers afternoon tea was £10.50. For a selection of tea scone sandwiches & mini cakes .we stated could mum have cheese in place of cream cheese. Yes no problem. Waitress said Tea came out with said sandwiches , but no mini cakes one square of chocolate cake ???? Wasn’t advised that there was a changed to menu. ! But what was to come next !!!!!chap on next table asked for bill & he payed , then asked could he have bill itemised. So manager came out & hand written items on slip of paper & stated .just realised we’ve over charged you £5. !! He put £5 back on his card. He said he didn’t have price list to hand & waitress Hand writing was mistaken , very questionable!! So I reached over & took menu to calculate ours £18.50. Waitress came out £22.50 please. I said sorry it should be £18.50 , that’s when the unpleasantness began the so called manager came out of the kitchen clearly stressed & said oh £20 50. Then. I stood up got hold of menu to re calculate,, & stated mum hadn’t got mini cakes. His reply was cannot keep changing the menu over every little change. Which I said well you should have told us beforehand so we could have orderd differently,, my mother stood up & this is when the manager became Down right Aggressive . & rude . He said her!!! She’s just rolled her eyes at me ,, I said sorry what was that !!! Again he said her there no need for being nasty. I said sorry !!! I said do you just want to rewind a minute. !! What was that again !!!he said her giving dirty nasty look when I came out of kitchen. My poor mum couldn’t believe it she was horrified and said just pay let’s get out of here. , he said I came out of the back it busy it’s been stressful !! I’m sorry but there’s no way your accusing my mother And being down right rude to her , because at the end of day Your menu clearly wrong,,he then had the cheek to charge £1 extra for cheese instead of cream cheese. I said waitress was happy to change option but didn’t state £1 extra for sprinkle of cheese !! You should state any changes to cost or menu. I calmly told him he shouldn’t be in the job if couldn’t cope to which he said I had jumped up out of my chair OMG ridiculous, I was already stood trying to have a rational conversation to state he was clearly in the wrong .he said we. Will agree to disagree. To which I said no we will not , because your clearly out of order, I asked for owners details he declined to give Me ,, he shouted at me to leave leave now leave my premises,, to which I said no ,,, as there was no way I was leaving without being heard or given an apology , so I sat at table & he said he perceived my mum to be looking nasty. At him To which I said you have perceived wrong ,, Well I’m sorry for thatThen he said ,,he said but I was clearly annoyed ,, which wasn’t the case ..I was clearly stating no way he was verbally abusing my 75 year old mother , So if you Don’t like being insulted & mislead on prices . & clearly overcharged ,, then avoid will be taking this further to trading standards as it’s a clear misrepresentation...

We visited yesterday. Only one member of staff on that we could see who was a tall young man. Drinks arrived fairly quickly. We ordered the 15.99 meal deal for main meal, drink and a scone. We had to wait ages for the food.( nearly 50 mins). When it arrived I could hardly eat mine. I ordered the homemade fish finger bun it was a square fillet of overdone fish, very tasteless and a small amount of iceberg lettuce, one cherry tomatoes cut in half, coleslaw which didn't taste right and burnt/overdone/reheated chips. I tried my partners cheeseburger and this was so hard and overdone as well. We asked to take the scones out which ended up in bin. You can't pay with your card they send you over road to cash machine. My partner has been up all day and night with an upset stomach ever since and is unwell and I have felt unwell too only thank god I didn't eat as much as him. My partner has tried calling them today to complain and phone just rings out. Please avoid this place. Such a shame when so many other nice places...

Not sure why the terrible reviews?!?!? My wife had tuna jacket potato and I had the leek and potato soup and a brie and cranberry toastie. The food was really nice and was quick to arrive. The portion sizes were huge and very filling. Then had the cream tea with cherry scone (alot of tea!) which made about 5 cups of tea! This was also very nice and quick to arrive. Great service, excellent homely food (the only place that still does soup and a sandwich in the UK it seems!). They were obviously very very busy but the staff were still polite and friendly and I think they did very well given the circumstances, especially for the hoards of miserable tourists pushing their way in who have no concept of a busy tea rooms. I can only imagine negative reviews are from people with no taste buds or who have been turned away because the place is FULL. The place is dog friendly so should have rave reviews! I would highly...

Busy tearoom in Conwy. Staff very friendly, we turned up during busy lunch time. We were met with a smile , and shown to table in back room after a very short wait to clear away and clean it. It was one in one out , always a good sign of a popular place. Menu has somehow for everyone and there is special sandwich of the day as well. Very reasonably priced as well and generous portion size we found when food arrived. Short wait to order. Drinks came promptly and food not long after. Everything homemade , hot food hot and everything fresh and very tasty. Loved my afternoon tea for one, more than enough for one as sandwiches made with lovely thick sliced bread. And good size scone, two slices or bara birth ,and slice of lemon drizzle ( there was a choice of cake) All cleared our plates sign of satisfied customers. Brilliant find, great staff even tho rushed off their feet we weren't made to feel rushed. Thankyou
