My friend & I stayed in Cardiff town centre as we were going to a concert. We only had 2 nites so on our arrival day we did a bar crawl up the main st & we'd seen that there was a Coyote Ugly bar. If u have seen the film then you will know of the bar & the ladies that line dance on top of it. This place is true to the film. We went early on our 1st visit. Around 4pm. The "coyotes" were doing a dress rehearsal & supposedly recruiting new dancers so we sat at our table with our drinks & watched them do their thing. It was great. We were not invited to join them but as it was quiet we felt like we were watching an exclusive show. We decided to go back later when it was in full swing & it didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere plenty of singing & dancing on the bar. My only disappointment was the toilets they were pretty disgusting & I've dropped a star because of it. But if want to go to a place that has a great vibe then this is your place.

Atmosphere was OK, drinks were pricey, bar staff were friendly, only downside was that the toilets were absolutely disgusting and to top it off the male toilet attendant has no intention of helping you if you don’t pay him… even to the point where he refuses you a paper towel to dry your hands if you do not give him money. In my honest opinion my group of friends and I had high expectations when visiting here and did leave feeling a bit let down.

Great Lunch. While wandering around looking for somewhere to eat I noticed Coyote Ugly was open and had a £5.95 lunch menu and you can add a pint for £2.50. As I had never visited before I thought why not. The bar staff are friendly and I ordered the Boston bap and a pint, when it came it's probably the best pulled pork I have had in a long while. I can't wait to come again and I may even bring the wife.

I preordered a table with 2 bottles of Prosecco and 2 pitchers of cocktails. Upon arrival, we were shown to a dirty table upstairs that other people were occupying. The lady said she would get rid of the other people, but didn’t even clean it. We were then handed two pitchers of cocktails - which was half our order and told to ask for the 2 bottles of Prosecco when we were ready. 2/3 of the way through drinking the cocktails, I asked the bar staff if I could have my Prosecco. The lady behind the bar (different to the one who originally took us to the table) said she would speak to someone. Half an hour later, we still hadn’t had the Prosecco, so then I asked again and I was told that we had already received our order… which I corrected her on and explained we hadn’t had the Prosecco yet. She said she would speak to someone. Another half an hour went by, the girl came to talk to the bar lady, but totally ignored me when I tried speaking to her, she eventually turned to me, I explained we hadn’t had the Prosecco yet and she said that we hadn’t finished our cocktails. I said that we had finished the cocktails and she argued that it doesn’t look like we had, I said “well we have and we want the Prosecco that I’ve paid for”. She then said she was taking the remaining cocktails away because we couldn’t have the Prosecco unless we had finished. This didn’t make any sense as it isn’t a bottomless brunch, it was pre paid alcohol and if I had gone to the bar there an then, I would have got the Prosecco. She then snatched away any last remaining drinks that people were still finishing off (and had been paid for), and disappeared. People were quite frustrated by this time, as we had been waiting for a long time and the way she removed our drinks was inappropriate and rude. At this point, I asked for the manager. In total we had been waiting for the prosecco for over an hour at this point. The manager came and she said she would “sort it out”. When I returned from the bathroom approx 10 minutes later, I was met with being taken outside by two huge security guards, which is ridiculous as I am a 5 ft 3 girl, all while Hannah - whom we had terrible service from, was hysterically laughing. Whilst in the corridor, they told me to hand over my phone to them, when I questioned this, they said that it was because I had taken a photo of a member of staff in a public place and they were calling the police because it was illegal. This was laughable and completely made up, not to mention that it isn’t even illegal to take a photo in a public place like dozens of ppl have done previously. I refused to hand over my phone (because it’s my personal property, they are strangers and by this point, their erratic behaviour and lack of providing my paid for bottles of Prosecco was concerning). I was then ejected without explanation of why we didn’t receive our bottles of Prosecco for over an hour. The service was absolutely diabolical, the girl was really lazy, obnoxious and rude. None of us were intoxicated or behaving badly. We had prepaid in good faith that we would receive the goods, service and in a timely manner. All in all, I would recommend that you don’t step foot in the place and certainly don’t pre pay for drinks. If you do have to go there, make sure you don’t bump into the girl in the photo, she isn’t...

Shocking customer service!! AVOID! Booked a Christmas party for 16 members of staff, had issues getting in at 7pm and didn’t help that the door staff are extremely rude. Then taken upstairs to the supposed VIP area and just left there. After waiting for what seemed like an hour I asked the bar staff what was going on and was finally shown to a booth and again left for an eternity. Then I asked again what was happening with our food and it eventually came but only one of the platters, even though I ordered two! At this point it was near 10pm and some of the staff had given up and headed elsewhere. I also asked about the drinks that were included as part of the rock star package and they brought over cheap Russian vodka in plastic glasses. Which was not as per the package. The bar staff apologised and finally brought over the champagne that was part of the package and as they had given us the wrong vodka put £100 on a bar tab which was pretty useless considering most of the staff had already left at this point! I used half of the bar tab and asked for a credit note for the remainder so that I could use next time I visited and was told that it was not possible so ended up losing that too. I then after numerous attempts complained to the manager Chris in January and he agreed that the service was not acceptable and that I could rebook with my team to have 2 x Rock Star packages and 2 x Linkin Pork food platters at no cost as a goodwil gesture. I made the booking and was then being chased for payment. I then spoke to Sean today (6th March) as the booking is on the 10th March only to be told that there is no notes of this and that Chris the manager is driving around the UK and cannot be contacted which I find hilarious considering he cannot be contacted on Via mobile or email. Sean offered me free entry and a bottle of cheap vodka which I refused as this is not what I agreed. Also Sean was completely unhelpful!Disgraceful customer service. AVOID as there are far better places to go in Cardiff where they value...

GET YOUR BUSINESS OUT OF CITY!!

Walked in on a Monday night with 4 security guards on the door and only a dozen people in the venue. Must’ve been about 10:30pm too, so not that late!!

Walked up to the bar, and there was 1 other person waiting. A girl walked up wanting limoncello shots and a chef who had finished his shift, wanting a drink. Both were served before I was even looked at…

The bartender making the limoncello shots had to get her manager as she couldn’t process it on the till, and after almost 10 minutes realised they couldn’t do it. The manager walked off and didn’t acknowledge anyone else waiting.

By this time my girlfriend was dancing to the music and was invited up by one of the dancers on the bar. She danced and then sat down in front of me, accidentally knocking an empty pint glass over. The manager came back out shouting at her telling her not to sit on the bar, even though she had never been invited up to do anything like this before.

By this time, the girl wanting the limoncello shots had gone, and I was now the only person waiting at the bar, still no acknowledgment at all.

There was a man drinking Budweiser sat at the bar fast asleep, security asked him to wake up or leave but he fell asleep again within minutes of the security guard leaving.

The dancer on the bar was giving an ear-wrenching PA over that ‘fireball’ song as if she really didn’t want to be there either.

After almost 20 minutes of waiting at the bar, with 0 acknowledgment at all by the 2 bartenders or managers, and ALL of them disappearing at one point, I took the hint and left.

I also applied for a job here sometime ago, without thought and after being declined, realised that they had declined me because they only want female staff working here!

After coming here to read the reviews it’s evident that your business has no place at all in our wonderfully inclusive city, and I have sent emails to both your head office and to the council highlighting the issues that ALL of your staff have caused here!

AVOID AT ALL...
