Fries Guys at The Lido Pontypridd — Restaurant in Wales

I went there for the first and last time ever last week, I asked if it was too early for fish & Chips? No was their response, so I explained that it was my first time there and was greeted by I believe a foreign server? Who, proffered my gaze towards their cakes and fancies, to which I thanked them, but declined explaining that I was in training for the British Transport Police. I noted the price of £7.50, very reasonable I thought so I also bought a bottle of orange juice. It was at this point I was disgusted as my bill was now £11. £3.50 for an orange juice, a bloody rip off, as I can get the same product and size bottle in Greggs for £1.70 and TESCO for £1.50. Okay I thought, as I took my seat and awaited my FISH & CHIPS; Then I started to see loads of staff sporting T-Shirts with a slogan, NO CHIPS ON MY SHOULDERS or something like this, then I thought to my horror, is this their way of finally telling me that even though I clearly ordered and was told Fish & Chips; that in reality, I was only going to get fries???

I was expecting a fair sized plate to arrive....Instead, I got a Sushi type box that had half a green leafed field on the top; Now this had alarm bells ringing and boy was I right! My FISH & CHIPS had turned into, Green American styled fries and as for the FISH, this had turned into the TINIEST FISH BITES I had ever seen, they would not have satisfied a gnat!

Now my question to them at the very start; "Is it too early for FISH & CHIPS?" Whereby they answered NO! So, they had ample time to alert me that I was going to get sludgy fries and the tiniest of FISH bites.

Another heartbroken woman with her child was also just like myself MUGGED and totally DEFRAUDED with our order; as she was so exited to be told that she was to be getting SPICY STRIPPED CHICKEN, when in reality, she got, well to be honest, I do not know what the hell she was tearfully holding up????

So, I said, "You too eh? This is supposed to be Fish & Chips! mine cost £11 in total and she just appeared to cry a little more, stating that this is NOT what she was expecting either. The food itself was COLD, SLUDGY AND GREEN!

ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SCAMMING EATERY!

I will be contacting Trading Standards...

I'm only giving one because there isn't a zero. Extremely poor in all aspects the kitchen hygiene and food handling looks appauling the staff seem to be untrained and pay zero attention to what they are supposed to be doing or the customers and the general environment around them. The company in-charge should be stripped of the contract ASAP as they make visiting this park and pool complex a bit of a disaster. The prices are extremely expensive for the poor quality of food and shocking indifference show by the staff it's a - 10 on the score the lowest of the low, beyond Pathetic and ruins the...

Very unpleasant experience, Who I am assuming is the chef was seen and heard shouting at one of the girls, you could see that she was visibly upset and couldn’t get her words out, what an absolute disgrace!! It’s such a shame to see this as the caffi and park are one of my favourite places to bring the children especially over the summer but the whole situation and atmosphere has put me completely off and I won’t be returning. Other staff were pleasant and helpful despite what was happening. This may be normal for this company but this is certainly not how...
