The ratings lied to me, i work all over the country and whilst working here decided to eat from this because the ratings were good. Now i live by the coast myself in devon so i know what "decent fish and chips" are.....curry sauce was awful and microwaved in front of us and tasted very very sweet. Chips were average at best, sat in a big open metal container uncoved in an open fronted shop, and a sausage bap....well put it this way, i can rustle up better in the back of my work van, sausages were sat in a cabinet on the front counter with a light in it....god knows how long they had been sat there before they were tossed in the frier.....Only reason it was two stars is because the woman behind the counter...
Read moreDoesn't look as professional as the chippy across the road, but looks can be deceiving. These really were best chips I have tasted in my life, and I eat a lot of chips!! Only negative point would be that the lady in the shop sits in the back room round the corner reading her book when it's quiet. We walked in a left the shop the first time as there was no-one there. The second time I had to stand there for a few minutes shouting 'hello?' until I got her attention. Read moreSince every restaurant in Porthmadog is booked out thanks to the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, I decided to stop at this small takeaway for food to take back to my hotel instead. I was super impressed with the simple yet delicious lamb burger and had my first ever curry sauce on chips, a Welsh delicacy apparently! Everyone else who ordered seemed to be locals and the young boy who served me was very polite. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting a quick yet...
