Food was good. Some dishes were exceptional, some dishes had bland chicken and lamb, the lamb in particular was very dry. Service was attentive, plenty of staff on hand who are all working hard. Our group was pretty much first in restaurant, which filled quickly on a friday night (clearly a popular place), but our group appeared to have our food order taken last, we didnt have our starters until over an hour had passed. Soft drinks were mild/warm. The restaurant was ridiculously hot, windows were open, on a mild evening (16° or so), but the restaurant must have been 28-30°. The entire group was struggling, sweating, constantly having to wipe brow with napkin, and no-one had a hot dish. Someone asked for air con to be turned on to be told it was already on which was abundantly false. Decor is good.

My husband and I fancied a curry on our way back to Gloucester and stopped here. What a find! The service was brilliant, very friendly helpful waiters, nothing was too much for them, lovely lads. The food was incredible! We tried the new ‘mango rice’, which was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a very good curry. Will most certainly be going back, I’ll even drive the 45 min drive because definitely worth it! There is only 1 ‘negative’ comment and that’s that it was so warm inside the restaurant it got uncomfortable, there appeared to be an aircon unit on the ceiling but it wasn’t on, could have done with a couple of fans to compensate. This didn’t put me off at all and when I go back I’ll book a table and request it by the window.

We have ordered from Mango House for delivery a few times but tonight we wanted to eat in. We were greeted by absolutely lovely staff who could not do enough for us. When they learned we were having Iftaar and breaking our fast, they kindly took away our drinks we had ordered until it was time and made us fresh ones. They gave us dates to break the fast and could not be more attentive. I’ve not even mentioned the food we had. It was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will absolutely be back. We recommend the pokoras, the sizzling tandoori grill, the keena rice and the cheese and garlic naan. Everything was brilliant though. Thank you to all wait staff and the chef who made our evening perfect on the longest day of Ramadan so far!!❤️

Awful experience yesterday evening and staff were nothing but rude. I had booked a table over a week ago for Saturday evening at 7pm for my engagement meal. This was a meal to celebrate myself and my partners engagement with my family and his family. We had travelled all the way from Gloucester which was over 50 minutes away. The staff called us to see if they could move our table from 7pm to 7:30pm, we said yes that’s fine no problem. Upon arrival we were left waiting 20 minutes, and still no table or seats. When we asked the staff how long our table we had booked was going to be, they told us they had taken walk ins and would no longer be able to accommodate us. The managers refused to ask the other customers to leave who had just sat down at our table and were starting to order their food. His excuse was “ you are regular customers here, these other customers are new” . So basically they had decided to take walk ins because the races were on and not actually accommodate the people who had booked. Clearly thought they could earn more money from the drunk race goers than their regular loyal customers! The manager was so rude towards us and started arguing with us, even though he knew what he had done was wrong. Will never go back to the mango house and will not recommend to anyone. Worst customer experience we have ever ever experienced anywhere. Engagement meal ruined for us and our families and had to leave and travel over 50...
