I visited the Cwmbran restaurant this week. Whilst it was quite late in the evening (9:45pm), and there was few customers eating, I feel that standards should be kept.... The food was up to standard and no issues here, but the attitude and behavior of the staff wasn't. Although quiet in terms of customers, bins for example were full, to almost overflowing, so there was work to be done ! I arrived to find a woman staff-member taking a run (customer side) to jump up onto the counter in order to sit for a while and lean-over to view the till screen. Another younger employee helping himself to the drink machine and walking around behind the counter enjoying said drink, whilst having ''banter'' with his co-workers (lots of swearing) and throwing rolled-up paper napkins at them whilst hiding behind what I think was a fridge door. I watched a young male staff member load and unload takeaway bags several times as he clearly struggled to get the orders correct. Then to finish off, a kitchen worker (chef ?), coming out from the kitchen / behind the scenes, not in uniform, but in his well-worn tracksuit.... and going back and forth....... All this in front of the Shift Manager, who clearly gave the impression that she had little control over her staff..... It didn't look good at all ! If this is what it’s like in the customer-facing area, goodness knows what it is like...
Read moreForgot half the meal and refused to refund missing items for two separate orders back around mid September (via just eat) bc the history of refunds was so long bc the local branch keeps messing up in just about every area.
-Consistently underfilled fries (only realised this after watching someone open the adult ready meal and seen that the entire top of the fries wasn't being included in the local branch) -consistently having to ask for refunds for meals missing entire elements (ie a drink missing from a burger meal) -cold to barely warm food, perfume on mcflurries, or coffee spilled over the mcflurries -underfilled iced beverages (about an inch off the fill line). -missing entire order items off -for the sept incidents specifically, expecting to be paid for entire miss itmes (mcflurries, a missing portion of nuggets)
Absolutely abysmal service, avoid unless you can drop into the store to correct things in person if they're wrong or missing. Not worth the money, time or energy to order from via just eat for a treat or...
Read moreIf i had the choice i would have put 0 stars! Not being allowed to eat the food I have purchased inside the restaurant and being told it after I ordered and paid for it is not on. I can understand why some teenagers are not allowed on the premises due to their behaviour but I am not one of them and it is very unfair that teenagers like myself and my friends are not allowed to eat inside a restaurant while behaving well. It is a restaurant for a reason, to buy and eat your food where you want to, either inside or to take it away. Perhaps if your security team was much better than it is you wouldn't have the problem of loitering rough youth in your restaurant. In my opinion i think you would benefit from having capable security to keep the defiant, disrespectful and ill-mannered minors out while letting those who are respectful and obedient eat the food they have ordered inside if they want to.
