I often visit here as I have small children. I've put up with a lot for a quiet life in recent years. Your play area keeps my kids quiet for at least 30 minutes so I'm usually quite happy to chow down a burger which looks like it's been drop kicked. Today's visit however, was something else, you managed to out do yourself and indeed my already remarkably low expectations. And for today's visit we only ordered desert. Having called in after a family meal for ice-cream we joined the queue of cars in the drive thru, only to be told after waiting patiently, 'no ice-cream today'. This didn't come as a surprise, you take your chances here and you accept that the odds on them being able to produce an ice-cream is 50/50. Please, for the love of God, slap a sign on the entrance to the Drive Thru!!!!! And so I find myself ordering 2 chocolate muffins and 2 blueberry muffins. Not an order of great magnitude, and I anticipate being handed the prepackaged muffins in a manner which in some way falls under the umbrella term of 'fast food'. My mistake obviously. I pay. And then I attempt to collect. But oh no... 'they aren't quite ready yet love, could you please park in one of the bays and we'll bring them round to you? ' Ummmmm, let me see, how about I just walk in and collect four muffins myself as they are in my eye-line and appear to be as ready as indeed they'll ever be. But alas, no this is not to be. I have to join the 10 other vehicles which preceded me as there were complication with their orders of burgers and chips. You have issues McDonald's Llanelli when you run out of bays for people to wait for the fast food which, should it arrive any slower would be travelling in reverse. We waited 10 minutes in the main car park and I had to walk around in the rain in my attempt to intercept my order from the poor boy wandering around aimlessly with soggy paper take out bags in his hands. And when we get home, it was reassuring to find that once again we were victim to McDonald's 'lucky dip'. Order what you like but you'll get what we give you! Delighted to receive 4 blueberry muffins. Two of which were rejected outright as guess what, two of my kids asked for the chocolate version. If I sound like a woman on the edge Mcd's it's possibly because you're massive incompetence has pushed me a step too far... Yep, that's right, even further than the time you dished me up a chicken sandwich inside the box of my ordered veggie burger. For the love of God, I've never witnessed such disorganisation housed under one roof. I take it...

We entered what was a rather busy restaurant, ordered utilising the order point machines available inside, and had a fair wait for our food which didn't bother us due to the number of orders pending on the board. It was clear to see the kitchen staff were working hard and very busy, and one of the managers was polite and apologised for the wait and saw us off with a smile.
However, upon entering the car, we decided to eat our food before driving off. Afterwards, to exit the car park, you must merge with the drive through traffic after they receive their food. Unfortunately, we were unable to merge and leave the car park due to there being a queue around the building as a result of customers having to wait for their food and having nowhere to go. I rolled down my car window and politely asked the young man at the drive through what the hold up was as we had an appointment to meet, and he smirked and laughed and responded with "dunno, not my problem", we then asked if he could find out, to which he laughed and smirked again before responding with "what do you expect me to do?".
I calmly asked to speak to his manager, and he laughed again, so I asked him once more and told him I was not impressed with his customer service. He then shouted through the kitchen "Oh, there's a man shouting at me" and a manager came to the window, rolled her eyes and asked in a very sarcastic tone "what appears to be the problem?" When I told her our experience with the member of staff's attitude, she responded with "we're busy, what can I do about it?" and walked off.
I was always under the impression that McDonald's had an ethos of providing great customer service, and was highly disappointed by the attitude of both the associate and their manager, both who were showing utter contempt to their customers after receiving their food. A simple apology for the wait to exit, or a member of staff investigating what the hold up to entering the carriageway was, or even directing those waiting for food into car parking spaces would have been the acceptable response to such an issue, not the foul...
Read moreNever been a fan of McDonalds, but went there because the kids like it. Being vegetarian limits my options, but I had a plant-based burger at another McDonalds which was OK so I ordered that here. Unfortunately that was not what I got! What they gave me was the "vegetable deluxe", which is possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted. Apart from the lettuce, I have no idea what the alleged vegetables were supposed to be? The content was two goujons, which were filled with a tasteless slime, bearing no resemblance to any vegetable I have encountered (or any food for that matter). My general attitude is "I've paid for it so I'm eating it", but after two bites I threw it away in disgust. I honestly cannot remember having ever done this before, which makes this qualify as the worst take-away I have ever had.
They also missed two drinks off our order.
If you absolutely must go to McDonalds to please your kids, give this one a miss and go to Penllergaer instead where you at least get...
