I was casually strolling through Tenby town when I smelt a distinctive aroma I hadn't smelt since my holiday in 2013...Malaysian food😍. I just had to find where it was coming from and walked through the indoor market only to stumble upon Nora's Kitchen, I was in my elements. It was too late that day to make an order so I was determined to come back the next day to buy some of their lovely smelling food. The next day at lunchtime I ventured back to Tenby and Nora's Kitchen only to discover they were very busy and couldn't take any more orders at that time. To my disappointment I walked away unhappy that I didn't get to try their amazing smelling food😔. I went and booked a boat trip which was a few hours later so decided to have another stroll around the local shops to kill some time. Whilst heading back for the boat trip I had to pass the indoor market so decided to try my luck with Nora's Kitchen one last time as I wasn't coming back to Tenby. To my amazement, I was able to place my food order and collect it 10 minutes later. I was so happy and excited but unable to try the food right there and then as I was going on the boat trip so I placed the food carefully inside my rucksack (in takeaway trays). Later that evening I couldn't wait to try the Beef Rendang and Nasi Goreng Kampung... And it didn't dissapoint either! It was well worth the wait and persevering😊 It was absolutely mouthwatering and so delicious😋 Looking forward to my next trip to Tenby already, I certainly know the first place I will be heading for.. Nora's...
Read moreAfter reading the rave reviews, I decided I had to try Nora's kitchen. It's not hard to find in Tenby's quaint little indoor market - the aroma draws you to the entrance like Scooby doo and Shaggy to a steak dinner. I pre ordered today's meal because yesterday Nora had completely sold out. All that remained when I got there was the heady pungent smell of lemongrass and star anise and a 'sold out' note on the threshold. I looked forward all day to my chicken rendang and my wife's nonya lime curry. When I arrived to collect my order, Nora greeted me warmly and handed me my freshly prepared meals. Lucky I did pre order, because she was sold out again. We transported our treasure home and, with mouths watering, tucked in with a pint of Ghost Ship. What a treat! Worth every penny (£17 for both meals with basmati rice). Both meals filled our nostrils with intense citrus and warmed our tastebuds with fresh curry flavours. I've had many curries from different cuisines, and this ranks right up there with the best. Thank you Nora - keep up the excellent work. I will tell everyone I know who comes on holiday to Tenby...
Read moreNora's Kitchen is a small dine in or take out eatery serving delicious Malaysian food made on site. As you enter the market hall the most amazing smells hit you, like nothing else in town. The kitchen is open and you can see meals being prepared, all from fresh ingredients, all dishes under £8.00! On my first visit I had a delicious, dark beef rendang. As I was leaving Nora had prepared a Mee Goreng , which I said I would have to come back to try. When I returned 2 days later I was delighted that she had not only remembered me, but also the dish I had come back to try. I asked Nora if she would mind if I watched, and to my delight she talked me through the ingredients and preparation step by step as she cooked! The meal was once again amazing, full of flavour, textures and just the right amount of heat. After the meal we chatted for 10 minutes as if we were old friends. For me this was a priceless experience; delicious authentic food cooked in front of you in a friendly, familiar environment, and at an unbeatable price. Eat here once and you will...
