We decided to give this place a go after reading some mixed reviews. We were met by a not so welcoming man who showed us to our prebooked table. It soon became obvious that he was the only person out front and he was seating the customers, taking the orders, answering the phone, dealing with the takeaways and serving the food! For a Saturday night this is poor and i thought "Here we go" I watched him in action and he had an abrupt manner about him 45mins later he got round to taking our drinks order before which we were close to walking out. We decided to give the food a chance and allow for the fact he was alone. We ordered Aloo Paranta to which he huffed and puffed, saying they would take time to prepare and was encouraging us not to order them! When our alternative order arrived it did so promptly and was good quality and tasty. That somewhat salvaged the experience. Dont think i would...
Read moreI came here solo tonight due to working. I was in need of something to eat before I put my head down for the night. I do like a good Indian meal and have sampled many in many different places!! I was not assured that I would be eating a tasty Indian meal after reading the reviews but thought I would give it a try. I was the only person in the restaurant but was made to feel welcome and at ease straight away. I couldn't fault the starter which was onion Baji and the main course was chicken Madras, rice and a garlic naan. I also had a cheeky bottle of cobra! Lovely and tasty. The only reason why I have given 4 stars is because there could have been a little bit more chicken but the pricing was according to the meal. Couldn't fault it. Thankyou for your hospitality from someone who is not from the neck of your valleys 🤣 I will return if I am visiting the area again,,! Glyn Groves...

We saw the tough ratings before entering, but lot of restaurants around also have “challenging” ratings and though the public out there was picky. No, the rating in this case is unfortunately deserved. My wife had an overcooked, basically savourless lamb, salt made it only saltier, not better. I had a sweet and flashy red sauce supposed to be tandoori chicken masala, at best a very stretched out interpretation! Both were not really enjoyable, but may be that’s only due to the malfunctioning palate of strange foreigners like us ? After sleeping over the matter, and above all enjoying a real good breakfast at a nearby restaurant the day after, we decided the fault is on the cook, hence...
