The experience our group recieved this evening was obismal. We ordered scampi and chips that did not arrive with the rest of the food because they made a mistake, (fair enough mistakes happen) but the garlic mushrooms where othered with either garlic mayo or bbq sauce when we ordered, asked if I could have some garlic mayo like we ordered and the lady behind the bar said we don't have garlic mayo, just use the normal mayo in the tub, (so why ask if we would like it 10 minutes prior) and the final nail in the coffin for this establishment was the fact that when I ordered a hot chocolate fudge cake I asked if it would be at all possible to get it with squirty cream to which i got the reply sorry we don't have that, (fair enough) but then when our desserts came out one of our party had squirty cream on there dish so my question is where did that came from, asked the man who said we don't have squirty cream how come and his reply was yeah you can have it with that dessert but not the fudge cake. So from my experience this place could highly improve maybe if they gave everyone flash cards so people can show...

A True Gem of a Local Pub – Five Stars All Around!

If you're looking for a warm, welcoming pub with character, great food, and unbeatable atmosphere – look no further! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family, and that's largely thanks to Liz and her fantastic team. Their genuine hospitality and attention to detail make every visit a memorable experience.

The karaoke nights are a must – whether you're a seasoned singer or just there for the laughs, the energy is infectious and the crowd is always up for a good time. It’s one of the best nights out you can have without venturing far from home.

And don’t even get me started on the Sunday carvery – it's absolutely top-tier. Perfectly cooked meats, rich, flavorful gravy, and all the trimmings you could dream of. It's comfort food at its finest, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in every plate.

Whether you're stopping in for a pint, a meal, or a night of karaoke fun, this place delivers every time. A huge shoutout to Liz and all the staff for making it such a special place. Highly recommend – this is what a proper local...

Had a couple of hours in Caernarfon before doing the trip on the Welsh Highland Railway, was looking for somewhere to have lunch and this looked just the right place. A historic pub in an ideal location just across the road from the castle. There's an outdoor carvery and outside tables with sun umbrellas. The pub was clean and comfortable inside too, with a well stocked bar and a good choice of beers. But I did not find it very welcoming. I was standing at the bar for nearly 10 minutes before the two girls who were serving even acknowledged me. Not many options to choose from on the lunch menu. I ordered the jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn, served with salad and coleslaw. It was served quickly and the food was okay, but the potato was more warm than hot and there was no sweetcorn on it. Not an expensive lunch but it could have been a lot better. Would try somewhere else if I returned...

Was here for a day trip to see the castle with my family. Struggled to find a place that was serving food at 5pm. Bistros around the corner were shutting and others not open. The heavens let rip so we darted into this pub. Food was being served from 5pm and which we duly ordered and enjoyed. Standard pub fare food cooked well. I had the culinary delight of the curry with half rice and half chips (optional extra for another pound). Not experienced this before and have to say I've been missing out. Certain food also included a free drink in the week - most welcome. Interior of the pub is exactly that; it's not a gastro pub nor tries. Friendly bar service. Long may it continue.
