Sophie's — Restaurant in Wales

I live locally and had heard great reviews for a while about this place so a couple of months ago decided to try it. Well, I will not be back and won't be recommending it to people. I was with a party of 3 and had the mega breakfast, I asked the waitress at the time of ordering if I could swap out and substitute a few of items as I don't like them to which she said sure, that's fine. Food was ok but when I went to pay I realised it came to much more than the menu price so I challenged it. The woman on the till informed me I was still being charged the full amount for the breakfast, despite taking multiple items off and then being charged extra for my substitute items!! So my breakfast ended up costing a small fortune. I have never in my entire life been charged the full amount for half a meal and then extra for making it back up to where it should be value wise. They are absolute crooks in this place and I will ensure that they don't get my buisness again there are much nicer, more honest places to eat in Aberystwyth as I am now...

Fantastic place, the food is always great, the pricing is perfect for the amount you get and the service is quick, lovely and very welcoming to all. A must do for anyone wanting breakfast and a good meal, the shakes are great too and the deserts are a very good treat. Access is good in the front room there is a step into the building but there is a ramp and into the back room there is a larger step that would be difficult for anyone using a wheelchair but there is seating in the front and outside the building so on hit days it's really nice to chill out the front. Staff are always friendly and helpful and happy to come back if needing more time to choose from the good menu and very happy to change things, with an additional cost but well worth getting the mushrooms 😊 A staple of the high street in Aberystwyth and a place I have been to for years and always take people there to introduce them to the best...

What a treat you're in for here, Sofie's is a relatively small cafe that just gets it right every time, with friendly staff and a really fantastic selection of food. every time we go here, we go away loving it even more. I usually go for the breakfasts, of which I've tried almost all of them and each one is delicious, and the veggie sausages are the best I've ever tried. the decor is lovely and every day that have a different infused water for you to try, I think this is a bit risky but I have no doubt that if you didn't want that they would get you an ordinary water instead, nothing you ask is too much or too little. I cant say enough good things about Sofie's. give them a go I promise you, you will not be disappointed, and prepare to have your favorite cafe/restaurant blown out...
