Spice Delight — Restaurant in Wales

We stopped here for a bite to eat on a Saturday evening, avoiding eating in Cardiff as the rugby was on and it was very busy. We ordered the Biriani and the lamb korma which was quite pleasant. The rice and naan was also very good. It was a little bit cold upon arrival and after having spent a whole day out in the rain, it would have been nice to have felt a little warmer. While visiting, the staff had to deal with four awkward customers who were using offensive language loudly enough for other customers to hear. The staff were excellent in the way that they dealt with these customers who continued to be offensive and sarcastic and actually appeared quite violent at one point, pointing their finger into the staff’s faces and getting extremely close to them. We ordered a meal this week, spending around £45. We've not ordered from this place before, and had read good reviews, so what a disappointment this was. We struggled to feed two adults and two children due to poor portion sizes. The bombay potatoes consisted of 6 rather small spuds and felt like a total rip off. The dish I ordered was more liquid than prawns, with 1 and a bit pineapple rings and not a single sultana as promised on the menu.The portion size was also on the small side, half a small container full and, as I've said, mostly liquid. The tikka was nice as were the samosas. The daal was same as anywhere else but cost considerably more. For the money, this was a poor meal and very disappointing. Just an update for September 23, still a good place to dine the food is still the same exceptional quality and just ever so tasty. Thought I would just reconfirm my previous comments.

This is a post Covid update, just had another amazing meal, yes we chose a quiet time to dine in, the service is still like the food exceptional. Felt really safe there, the tables are well spaced out and good precautions by staff.

WOW an another amazing meal to end an busy year. Brilliant food great service at a reasonable price. Just had another family meal here one of the tastier meals again not hot but full of flavour. Superb indian cuisine at a reasonable price. Excellent staff and good service. Don't tell everyone one it's not a large place . Best indian food in the area beats more...
