The reason of just 1 star is: 1- no staffs were wearing masks 2- one of them was coughing without even cover the mouth with her hands or anything what is almost a crime to me in time of covid 19 3- we waitted 25 minuts to receive the drinks( tap water and juice) 4- we waitted 40 minuts for the food comes. We had to get up and complain why the food was taking too long 5- when they brough the food, one of the oders was wrong, they had to take the plate back nd we had to wait more 5 minuts for bring the right one 6- the food was cold after 45 minutes wait 7- the food was with no flavour at all... 8- food expensive & horrible quality...we asked bugers to a 5 Stars restaurante nd i think the frozen bugers in £1 store is more testy 9- buger king, kfc &macdonalds worth much more than eat a buger in this place 10- i just give 1 star for the starff that received us in the door very friendelly and attention
Resume if you want wait 40 minuts to your food, get it cold, with no flavour nd still put your life in risk with staffs not using mask and coughing next to you without even use the hands to cover the mouth, good luck but me and my family will never back again! Ps: we were with a kid with 3 years old that was tires to wait abd a little baby with 2 months...so who has kids know how is hard go to anywhere...so when we go, all we want is eat and go away as fast as possible...not wait 40 min, not with a staffs sick next to us...
Please if you are sick, coughing or anything STAY HOME, because you dont know what u have and can end putting lifes in risk for think what you have is nothing...
And maneger, for make your clients feel more confortable, i suggest you ask for all them use masks and if possible gloves and change it frequentelly.
About the cold food, you have a good amount of staffs, put time of the others in the paper and keep walking around to confirm if they received their order
Give priority to families with kids/ babies and even old people and disables..because is difficult to all stay longer waitting...
And change the cheff...or remove the bugers from menu because they dont know how to make it. Buger cold, full of oil, with salad with no flavour, buger with no sauce...i think in mine they forgot even the cheese or put this stuffs sooooo less that i couldnt feel or see nothing in my buger( bread, chicken fried full of oil and lettuce and tomatoe its all i had) and pay almost £12 for it??? So u should review your menu or hire specialists for what u want to serve.
We didn't oder the desert because we were afraid to take 40 minuts and came wrong or with no sugar...
So very disappointed...but the look of the food looks good...just...
Read morel took a chance on a meal here because we were both starving. We've been to two other Brewer's Fayres in just over a year, one of which was so appalling that we walked out without having eaten or drunk anything, the other was a horrendous experience that I felt so strongly about that I video recorded my issues and reported them to H.Q. who were disinterested. Well, I must say that this place, while not perfect, there was a distinct improvement on the other places. Among the first thing we were asked about was whether either of us had allergies.. thoughtful, I thought. Took drinks of bottled cola.. fine... the meals were Katsu curry and chicken for me while my friend indulged in veggie burger and chips. Service was from a polite and happy young lady who in a short space of time was back at the table with our food. The food was presented well, cooked perfectly and hot, as well as being tasty enough, though perhaps there could have been a little more in volume. Atmosphere score took a little dip only because it was an unfair evaluation because there were very few people there. The overall score also took a dip because there was a fair amount of grubbiness about the place years of grime had not been sufficiently cleaned for a long time and there was a noticeable odour about the place brought about by grubby carpets and stains on many of the chairs were visible.. give the place a good deep clean !! Overall though, it satisfied the needs of two hungry people who enjoyed the food. The staff that we encountered were pleasant and helpful and we had no wait for service. Would we go back again??.. Maybe in the future just to see whether the place has cleaned up a bit, because we were happy with the food. Point of interest though... the receipt shows 5230 Joshua H was our waitress... well not wishing to offend those who are non-binary.. but she did not look like a Joshua ;-) Parking was available and wheelchair access is good with flat surfaces, and small ramps to aid entry.. just remember if you do go, input your vehicle details into the keypad near the entrance or face a potential private parking...
Read moreChristmas Dinner-arrived at our alloted time for the Christmas dinner. When we went up to the carvery to get our main staff were loading-up their own plates. There were a number of items that were cleaned-out by staff as we were standing there. We asked if they would replenish those items and we were told that they had run-out and they would not be replenished (Yorkshire Puddings, mashed potatoes, carrots, parsnips).
The menu was advertised as 'including a glass of fizz on arrival' which was not provided. The starter Camembert En Croute came with toast rather than a bread roll as described on the menu.
The quality of what we did have was poor. We asked the staff if they had take-away containers for dessert as we just wanted to go home due to disappointment. They said they couldn't provided these so we resigned to staying for the dessert course.
The staff member who cleared our plates from the main asked how the meal was, we were honest about our disappointment and the staff member said she'd get her manager to speak to us.
The manager was very combative when we were honest about our experience. We were shocked at the way the manager spoke to us. Four of our group have worked in food service (two at a managerial level) and said they'd be discplined if they spoke to customers the way she did. She said that 'the way the carvery works is that more is brought out when it is empty' but we had asked two staff members if they could replenish the items but they said they had run out and would not (shortly after loading their own plates to take away) and they did not replenish the items the whole time we were there (1.5 hrs). She also said 'what do you expect me to do', as a manager we would have thought she would have known how to resolve complaints with customers.
Eventually we got to the point of a partial refund, altough it still doesn't make-up for our time, missed family enjoyment and the poor experience.
The only redemming part was the politeness and friendliness of the staff-member working at the bar who is an example of good...
