Only good thing was because we had two small dogs with us they sat us separate from everyone else. Everything else was awful even more if covid case's rising I would of expected the place to me more clean. The bathroom floor was very sticky you could hear and feel it sticking to your shoes and when we was given cutlery that was filthy (shown in picture) it had dried old food left on it from previous use. And the wait for meals was appalling nearly a 30 minute to an hour wait for our starters, and the food is false advertised. And then another 30 minute to and hour wait for our mains which was all cold and the breakfast was undercooked completely. And for some reason they make you pay before you get your drinks and meals not when your ready to leave which I don't understand why. We wouldn't go back until a lot of work is done with the kitchen I understand that they may be understaffed in these difficult times but it doesn't mean that food should be coming out undercooked and cold

Decided to give this pub another chance, having been disappointed on several occasions by very poor service when it was called the Dylan Thomas. Decor is still the same but the rebranding has definitely improved the service. Called early evening on a weekday and had no problem getting a table. Menu had been updated, and while it is still all typical pub grub fare there are good value offers and a good selection to choose from. Meal was tasty although my mixed grill was definitely on the well done side despite asking for medium. Blue Light card accepted but only for main meals.

We called here a couple of years ago and found it poor, and a left a poor review( I just deleted that), decided to try it today 01/03/24, and are glad we did. The food was excellent, with fast service, plenty of clean cutlery, sauces, etc. The lady that came from behind the bar to ask if we had booked was very nice and friendly. The Friday BOGOF Burger deal is of great value. We had the quadzilla and the home run, with salt and pepper fries. Both were amazing, and the burgers were perfectly 👌. Will be back again in a couple of weeks.

After leaving a 1 star review from a couple of years ago after a very bad experience which unfortunately didn't really sway my mindset to change the review (its taken 5 years, I am a hard person to please). We visited The Hungry Horse (Weathervane) in Stoke the weekend prior so will be making references to this also.

This review is a full reflection of the experience On arrival to the car park, it was evidently a little bit busier than usual but the car park is big enough. All the blue badge spaces were taken and on observation when walking to the restaurant, there there 3 cars in the blue badge bays not displaying a blue badge.

When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by someone waiting at the welcome podium and we advised them we were a little bit early for our reservation and he checked our timing and table and confirmed the table was ready for us.

We were sat at the table (the one as requested) and then proceeded to look at the menus to order food. As we had a gift card to use, we couldn't order via the mobile app and had to queue up. While in the queue, it moved relatively quickly despite a few people deciding to push in towards the front of the queue to get served quicker.

When returning to the table, a few minutes later our starter was brought out and it was presented very nicely and cooked to perfection. In comparison, we had the same starter (the sharer combo) in Weathervane and the plate at the copper pot looked fuller and far better presented.

Just as we were finishing a member of staff popped by the table to ask if we were ready for our mains and promptly took away the starter plates.

A short wait and our mains arrived, again, the presentation was great, portions were great and the food was very good. My normal go to is one of the burgers but today I had the BBQ Chicken stack / New York Chicken which is another one of my favourite dishes, I they changed suppliers around 3 years ago and the chicken was always very rubbery and chewy so I started to avoid the dish a bit more, unfortunately it was similar on this visit but it was more edible but again. I actually had the same dish in the Weathervane the week before and their chicken was different, it was very tender and the texture was like chicken, it was the best I had tried for a while. Not sure if you want to look at who your supplier is and why the chicken is so rubbery.

Finally, comes dessert, after finishing our mains a staff member quickly came by to collect the plates and we asked if our desserts could come out, 5 minutes later we had them and they were faultless (although I was at fault as I forgot to ask for custard on my wifes chocolate cake! oops!) I love the Ultimate big candymania, they used to do singular portions which were perfect but the ultimate big candymania is enough for 2 people so always feel it is a bit of a waste but it is very, very good value (not complaining honestly!) my daughters really enjoyed her brownie and ice-cream also, she commented on how nice the brownie was (something she never does).

Once we had finished, we put our table tidy and departed and it was breath of fresh-air to have a great experience at the Copper Pot again and will certainly be returning sooner...

Where to start...we went for food last week, table booked nice and early so its was very quiet in there. Ordered 4 burgers. firstly , one burger was supposed to be topped with BBQ pulled pork, it came without any. So its now just a double bacon cheeseburger which is £3 cheaper , waitress went to check, pulled pork was brought out a bit later on its own, however it was plain and not BBQ , so now I have a side dish of plain pork. The other problem was the 4th burger didn't even arrive , so we decided to wait a bit, I couldn't even get through my meal as it was too burnt , so many bits of crispy charcoal , in fairness the lady who I think was the manager offered a fresh one , but whats the point when all our meals were bad and the same quality would come out again. The 4th burger never arrived so the manager gave it to us in a takeaway box. Thinking it was maybe a bad day or 1 off, we took the risk and went again yesterday (30/07/21) wish we hadn't , sadly the food was even worse. 55 minute wait for 2 burgers , and then a my daughter had to wait a further 10 minutes to get her meal. So rather than let her alone, we waited, so we started our cold burgers, I only managed to eat the fries and the top half of the burger bun. The chicken fillet was inedible , dry, burnt , greasy and black, I actually think it was the very same fillet that I was served the week before, just re heated in a microwave, the coating didn't even stick to chicken, it was that bad. The beef burger was too burnt to enjoy , mouthful of charcoal on every bite. Didn't complain after the first time as the Friday burger offer is very good , but the food was so bad this week that I have to . I always enjoyed coming here with the good offers , but I will never ever come back, such a poor standard . And lastly, they make you wait outside , make sure you scan the codes etc, go out the back door and wear masks yet do not follow rules themselves, we were already sat down, and then they put a couple to sit on the table behind us, the persons chair was touching mine at times , so how is that...

My latest visit was nothing short of appalling! I don't normally leave reviews but my experience was so bad, I had to leave one. First of all we were sat our table and it must have took at least 45 -60 minutes for a member of staff to come and take our order (this is because my wife went and asked member of staff). After taking our order, the waitress said she would be straight back to take payment, she took about half an hour to come back! When the drinks eventually arrived (again taking a very long time) the waitress got my wife's drink wrong (she brought a normal coke instead of a diet coke), she didn't know the what a skinny hot chocolate was and they forgot my daughter's glass of milk. It took even longer again for the food to come, it took so long to come, my kids were complaining and really pretty because they were so hungry! When it did come, they had my wife's meal wrong, my eldest daughter's food wrong and when they corrected it, again forgot the gravy! My food was lukewarm and my mother's food was still frozen! We had to ask for cutlery which they didn't bring enough knives and forks after us asking. They didn't even bring any sauces to the table. These were the problems on our table, the same issues happened on another table in the party where they completely forgot my brother's meal and got his wife's food also wrong. This has to be the worst experience I have ever had when eating out. I had a better experience in Pizza express when a chef walked out! Altogether we were in the Dylan Thomas for nearly 3 hours! The staff didn't even ask if we wanted another drink whilst we were waiting for our food! Again they only have 1 star because I can't give 0! The place wasn't even busy and there were multiple tables who had...
