Order placed fine, they would not allow sugar to be handed to us due to company policy to help prevent spread of cv19. OK with that, but I do object to interference with a coffee by staff none of which were wearing gloves to help prevent spread! Staff were great however when I questioned the rationale of them only adding any sweeteners the manager lady clearly was hostile, but not rude and said that I could complain to head office! Not a problem. Then I asked for a stirrer to self sweeten our coffee's and even with a policy of not handing over sugers with the coffees, on the tray with no physical contact to prevent the spread, they handed, yes handed us 2 stirring straws. Also coffee cups made up without gloves. The point of this long story being, if they can hand over coffees and stirrers then they can load the tray with sugers, with or without gloves. No fault to the staff but over kill by head office senior. Management who's attempt to make rules up to suit a woke attempt to be virus sensitive is badly thought out and delivered with no obvious practical thought to customers. If starbucks practices are health dangerous, close or staff wear full PPE and clean the tray with spray after use, which...
Read moreThe girls who work here are genuinely the sweetest. I've occasionally popped in after the gym a few times, and they’ve always been super friendly. Today I ended up leaving my phone in my dad’s car by accident and was completely locked out of my gym, so I was kinda stuck alone with no way to contact anyone. I asked the girls behind the counter if I could use one of their phones (which I know is such a weird thing to ask haha), but they didn’t even hesitate - they just handed it over so I could try to message him. They definitely saved me from being stuck there for like 3-4 hours. I tried to say thank you as I left, but they were a bit busy working - But again, I really appreciate it. You don’t get kindness like that everywhere!
Read moreTook my children there this morning , one of the drinks ordered was a soya latte for my daughter who has a milk allergy ! I double checked at the collection window as when she read the order back she didn’t say soya ! The waitress confirmed it was soya . We drive to the lake to have our drinks while feeding the ducks my daughter only touched it to her lips as it was a bit hot to drink and within the space of a few seconds she alkwryed me to her lip swelling ! I tasted the drink and it was a regular latte not soya ! Luckily she hadn’t swallowed any and I was able to deal with it with antihistamines and lots of water but had she swallowed I would have had to use epi pens and headed to hospital ! So angry this sort of thing shouldn’t still be...
