After a pleasant few days staying nearby we were beyond disappointed by this abomination of a restaurant. On entry the place looked ok. However we were greeted by a miserable bar maid. When we waited to be seated she said that we could sit anywhere which seems unprofessional but a minor detail none the less. After being seated we were asked to order drinks and food which we did. One of the bar maids came over with two WARM beers and told us they were the only ones available. They had already been opened so we were obliged to say yes. They were disgusting. The pizzas arrived with raw dough on the bottom, and not particularly nice. Wouldn’t have been a problem if somebody bothered to ask us how our meal was but nobody seemed to care. The manager wouldn’t even make eye contact even though he overheard our complaints. Seems like the place is run by people who don’t really care - coming from somebody who is happy to eat in spoons from time to time. I would not step foot in this place again. Im not sure why reviews are positive (there are only 15, probably the staff who work there). No offer was made as to a reduction on the bill and no real customer service was given. An absolute disgrace. Would have been disappointed if it was a fast food place let alone a restaurant! We were so hungry that we ate most of the pizza but did NOT enjoy it. We took the rest of the wine home (which was also a cheap bottle with extortionate pricing) . Overall a terrible experience. Even felt as if the bar maids were talking about us in Welsh which was most uncomfortable. Call yourself a pizza restaurant. Terrible on all accounts. Avoid avoid avoid! Do not waste you’re hard earned money because they...
Read moreWhere do I start... I came to Caernarfon to celebrate my birthday and had no idea where to dine. We wandered around town, but the moment we saw guests outside Tan enjoying some incredible-looking pizzas, we knew that’s where we needed to be.
Even though it was busy, the lovely team managed to find us a table—right across from the wood-fired oven! We ordered a couple of pizzas and their famous firecracker chips, and from the very first bite, our minds were blown. My partner and I both agreed: these were hands down the best pizzas we’ve had in the UK. Soft, flavourful dough, perfectly balanced toppings, rich sauces, and just the right amount of cheese. Absolute perfection—and incredibly affordable for the quality.
The amazing pizza chef, Alison, was so kind and generous—she brought us extra fries and dips on the house and was such a pleasure to chat with. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a beautiful dessert and even sang Happy Birthday in Welsh 🥹💛
Every single member of the team was warm, welcoming, and made the evening so special—Alison, Becci, Jac, Kaydon, Seren, Hannah, and Mia, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I left with my tummy full and my heart even fuller.
And I’m not exaggerating when I say... I’d come all the way back to Wales just to eat...
Read moreExcellent customer service. My partner and son (6) visited this week and ordered the pepperoni pizza. They were told it would be a bit spicy when ordering but he assumed it would be OK. The girl cooking the pizzas then came over and advised it was pretty spicy, and they'd recomend the chorizo instead as it was for my son. They brought some of both out for him to try and they agreed on the chorizo. Most places wouldn't put this much thought or care into a meal a child ordered so I really appreciated they looked after him well. They both said the pizza was incredible and made me exceptionally jealous, being back home...
