The Little Treat — Restaurant in Wales

We've driven through Abergavenny many times before but never stopped. This time we decided to stop for lunch and came across The Little Treat. We absolutely loved it. A tiny cafe with a commensurately modest menu, but just what we were after. I had a New York bagel (pastrami, cheese, pickle, mustard, you know the sort) which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of mustard and not overpowered as can often be the case. Wife had Welsh Rarebit which was was nicely presented on two halves of baguette and quite generously proportioned. Both meals had a small salad. The owner, Claire, was delightful and very friendly. Would highly recommend the place and would love to return...

Wow fantastic coffee shop, the staff are absolutely brilliant, a lovely lady served us on Friday, we had a americano with hot milk and a americano without milk, lady even brought me out a glass of water. Coffee delicious, just wished we had stayed for something to eat. We hope to be back in the area sometime soon, we will definately be back. I would definately recommend if you are in the area. I was a little annoyed that two other customers were outside with their dog, lying in the way of people getting into and out the cafe with sitting outside, they didnt even blink an eye! Stopped for ice cream during our day out but unfortunately, my partner was taken ill and collapsed. The owner of the cafe was amazing and called the emergency services straight away, gave my partner a wet towel for the swelling on her head and didn't rush us at all, going out of her way to help in any way she could. We had to have paramedics come and then we took her to the hospital and this cafe stood out as being a big help to us so thank you ❤ We will definitely be back! Hopefully to finish our ice cream...
