We thought this would be a good place to have a few drinks and a bite to eat before going out. How wrong we where, the drinks where fine nothing wrong with them or the original server, the meals came but my wife's was stone cold mine was lukewarm not hot just warm so I took my wife's back to the counter where I ordered it, only to be told by the lady serving another customer that I could not return it to the bar area, so how was I suppost to know that as it's where I ordered it from and they have no other special place to return stuff, silly woman, a young lad came up to me apologised and went off with the food before I could finish to explain that mine was also not hot, he returned to our table with my wife's meal, a full fresh start one not the original one, he apologised again then left I eat mine with out complaining further as I did not want to make a complaint again just in case I got the silly lady from behind the bar tshoutinf at me again that I could not return food ti the bar as every one had looked at me funny when she shouted it the last first time. Well not our loss really it's Yates loss because we will not return here again and neither will my six children with their families, such a rude old lady member of staff at the bar, not on customer needs to feel wanted and welcome as they help pay the wages at the end of the day. Other staff where lovely but good should never leave the kitchen area cold or just warm, poor show there from kitchen...
Read moreThe yates is decent if its a starting point and not a full night plan. Its more of a Wetherspoons than a party place. DJ is practically on the dance floor because they haven't located him a big enough area. The pints are shocking if you look at the attached image of mine. I thought the bar maid was joking when she gave it to me but she was dead sure that's how its meant to be! After a few words with another bar worker the issue was resolved with a pint that didn't have a 5inch head on top. Dance floor is small, can probably fit 10 people at one time. The bouncers haven't got a clue how to secure or protect the premises, hardly check ID's, not very quick to action and the one tall bouncer looks about 13 in the body of lurch from the Addams family, and i don't think its safe for someone so young and thin to be put in dangerous situations where he could be having to escort drunken fully grown men out of the premises. And that Lurch comment wasn't a dig, its just he's tall and actually works at a local funeral home in the weekdays but i cant imagine that it can be paying to well if he's forced to take weekend shifts as a makeshift bouncer...
Read moreWent for a meal for my 9 year granddaughters birthday prior to going to the Winter Wonderland which has been a tradition since her first birthday. Although the food was lovely, the whole experience was a nightmare. OK it was a big party of us, when we got in there the place was pretty quiet when we ordered our food. Some of the food was brought out in a timely manner, the kids food was delivered after most of the adults food and my 3 year old granddaughter was the very last to have her food and that was delivered after everyone else had finished eating 45 minutes after ordering. There was no apology what so ever. My sister and her grandchildren left before their food was delivered. Common sense would be to feed the kids before the adults. Also the manager was rude and gave lots of attitude and dirty looks to several members...
