⭐⭐ Disappointing Customer Service Experience ⭐⭐
My recent visit to this establishment left much to be desired, especially in terms of customer service. From the moment I stepped in, the service received a mere 2 out of 5 rating. I had to wait for 5 minutes before a staff member finally came over to find us a table, despite the fact that the store wasn't even packed. This occurred at 8:30 pm on a Saturday, making the situation even more frustrating.
To make matters worse, there seems to be an unpleasant habit of giving menus to waiting clients, perhaps to discourage them from lingering in the seating area, regardless of how busy the place actually is. This approach felt unwelcoming and did not contribute to a positive experience.
As a regular customer, I requested my usual sundae royale, only to be thoroughly disappointed. The standard has significantly dropped, with the typical gold standard sundae royale now reduced to a mere ¾ of its original size. To add insult to injury, my sundae appeared to have half-melted, resulting in a more liquid consistency than the expected creamy ice-cream.
It is evident that the level of service has decreased over time. Either the staff has changed, or the management cannot maintain the once-praised standards. Despite claiming to be the best, this location is far from living up to its own reputation. It's disheartening to witness a decline in quality the further one travels geographically from Derby to Coventry and now Leamington Spa.
Moreover, what used to be a cherished moment of enjoying heavenly dessert moments and having a pleasant chat with my better half turned into a shocking experience. A waiter approached with her hands at the back and directly presented the bill without any indication of interest in us continuing our stay. It felt as though they were pushing us to leave, further adding to the disappointment.
I can confidently say that I will never set foot in the Leamington Spa Heavenly Dessert again. The decline in standards leads me to believe that this may be a franchise with different management than the original owner, resulting in the lowest standard of heavenly dessert I have encountered.

The place was half full, and after waiting for 5 minutes at the door, one of the chaps serving told us he’d clear a table and we could sit there. He took the stuff from the table and disappeared for about 10 minutes. Eventually a lady seated us and then another 10 minutes passed before we were given menus. Another 15 minutes went by before I had to wave her down to order, at which point she apologised for the service (which was appreciated) and that they were short staffed and she was working last night, had 2 hours sleep and was hungover and was doing her best in the heat. She also told us how to recover from her hangover, she had (gesturing with her finger) made herself ‘unwell’ to remedy this. Not great. Other customers were waiting ridiculous lengths of time, with 2 tables opposite us also complaining. The owners uncle came out to placate one of the tables but it didn’t work, and man on the next table also joined in with the heated discussion, backing up the other customer. We had 2 tables next to us and one by the door get fed up and both leave as they were waiting for so long. To top it off, one of the 2 ladies making the desserts was constantly on her phone. The atmosphere sucked and was so heated between a few of the tables and the staff. Food was being put on top of the counter and left for a very long time, to the point where I walked up to the counter and asked if the drinks were mine and served myself. The food and drinks were good, 8/10, but the lack of customer service was shocking. Although and oversharer, the lady working was doing her best but the other man working with her was walking around hopelessly from table to table without any form of customer service, almost in a daze. A table opposite us arrived about 10 minutes after us, and as we left they had only received half of their order (we had been in there for 90 minutes at this point). Would return for the food in a heartbeat, but sadly won’t be going near this place again until they improve their service, the atmosphere in the whole place on Saturday was toxic.

I must say, this was the worst Heavenly Dessert I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. Despite their appealing establishment and fancy colors, the desserts were far from meeting their supposed standards. To make matters worse, the waiters and customer service were incredibly rude and impolite, adding to the overall unpleasant experience.
From the moment I stepped in, I had high hopes for a delightful treat. However, not only did the desserts fall short of expectations, but the attitude of the waiters made the visit even more regrettable. It seemed like they couldn't care less about providing a pleasant customer experience.
Their nonchalant behavior and lack of courtesy left a sour taste in my mouth, overshadowing any positive aspects of the place. It's shocking to encounter such rudeness in a supposedly reputable establishment.
The presentation may be attractive, but the taste and overall quality simply did not match up. It felt like the waiters were more interested in displaying their indifference rather than serving customers with a smile.
I've been to other Heavenly Dessert locations before and had wonderful experiences, which makes this one stand out even more for all the wrong reasons. It's disappointing to see such a decline in both the desserts and the level of customer service.
I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these serious issues and addresses them promptly. Customers should be treated with respect and kindness, and the quality of the desserts should never be compromised.
