This place is a little off the beaten track and not somewhere you would just stumble across, but worth seeking out and close to the centre of Leamington. We visited around Sunday lunchtime and it was very busy, but we were greeted warmly by staff and offered a table. The building is spacious and airy, with cool vibes. We saw lots of families with younger children visiting, definitely family friendly and plenty of space for push chairs, etc to be stowed. We were asked about dietary requirements and allergies, and whilst we didn't have any I am sure they would be able to advise if this were the case. Breakfast and brunch appear to be offered all day, and we sampled both at around 2:30 in the afternoon. Produce is high quality from a local butcher. We were warned they were busy and it may take 30 mins for food, but it arrived much quicker and we were happy to enjoy the excellent coffee while we waited. Alternative milks were available. The food was well presented, hot, fresh and delicious. Servers were attentive and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. We asked for some extra syrup with the pancake stack and they were happy to bring us soon. For the quality of offer the prices were good value. We will definitely go back to try some of the lunch options which come with fries. Overall great quality, chilled atmosphere and friendly prompt service.

Booked a table for 5 , ordered drinks which took approx 25 mins to arrive, they were also cold. (We ordered lattes & cappuccino’s ) then decided we would order two dishes to share as they looked like big plates, we had the French toast & The Rueben. A side of fries also which was the size of a small fries from McDonalds less than a handful. I asked for side plates and we were given a really first plate with food on it when I raised this I got no apology just an eye roll. The sandwich (I thought it would be a bagel) was tiny with little filling. No cutlery on table or napkins, had to ask for this also, sauce was empty again had to ask for this the staff seemed annoyed with us, I tried to be super polite but to be honest they made us feel like we were an inconvenience. For £40 I would 100% not recommend or return.

I used to live on this street, it opened while I was living there a few years ago. It remains my go to place for sourdough and the best filled doughnuts, though I don't indulge as much as I used to. First time dining in for brunch, no reservation but got a table with a time reasonable time limit, staff are always very nice and this time was no different. I had a flavourful americano (no milk, no sugar, no nonsense), and we both went for the salmon royale (I think it was called that) and it was superb, sourdough cooked just right, a good size portion, great flavours and presentation. Interior is very cool as well, but everyone knows that. Recommended and I will surely return for bread, brunch, and maybe a doughnut (that's a lion bar one in the photo).

This was my first visit to the Steamhouse depot in Leamington Spa, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

The experience started off on a shaky note when one of the diners mentioned having a sesame allergy. The only options provided were three items from the entire menu: gluten bread, sausage, and eggs. It seemed like the kitchen wasn't comfortable serving anything else, which limited their choices.

To make matters worse, we were served the wrong drinks initially.

When the food finally arrived, there were several issues. Some of the orders arrived at different times, and most of them were either cold or missing entirely. Despite our repeated requests and waiting, the remaining sides arrived 15 minutes later, but they weren't cooked properly.

The dish that had been carefully selected to accommodate the allergy restriction arrived late and was incorrect, so it had to be sent back to the kitchen. On the second attempt, after another 15-minute wait, it was not only burnt but also incorrect. It took four people and an additional 10 minutes to arrange a refund.

Considering the restaurant was moderately busy and fully staffed, there really is no excuse for such a disappointing experience. The quality of the food was extremely poor, especially considering the prices charged. It was possibly the worst brunch I've had in a very long time.

However, I must mention that the atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable, and the desserts...

The Depot is going downhill steadily and it's a "No, Thanks" from now on. We started visiting The Steamhouse from Warwick Street and while we are very happy for Ashley to grow the business exponentially, we feel the Depot is not the same and deteriorating quickly.

The entire shop is filled with smoke from cooking, the lingering greasy spoon smell will hang on to the clothes until Persil comes to the rescue. The cooking fume is too much to bear.

The Depot breakfast £13.50, it is bland and small portion. I have swapped the sourdough toast for the brioche because it hurt my teeth biting into the sourdough and the brioche replacement is underbaked. My poached eggs is cooked 90% solid and it is tasteless, total dismissal. The Brioche French Toast has lost it stars as well. It may looks similar to previous portion but it is just way below the usual standard.

Staffs is a mixed bag, the girls attended to us are amazing but the young man behind the greeting desk just cannot even smile a little for paying customers and this has really unsettled myself as to why employ staff that is not going to add value to your business. I can deal with poor food because I know it can only gets better, but you cannot have rude /lazy staff that is not willing to enhance the customer experience.

Best...
