We have eaten here many times before, it wasn't always perfect but food was always decent, and service always ok,but this time food was pretty bad(apart from breaded prawns starter, which was actually very nice). My wife's starter (Goat cheese on toast, which she always orders when we go there) didn't look nothing like before (compare two pictures I attached),toast was soggy, goat cheese wasn't cooked properly (cold inside and not crispy on top),salad underneath looked like it was 3 days old, there wasn't enough dressing and no parmesan, like someone just thrown all ingredients together on the plate. For mains we ordered Fratelli salad (which I usually order there) and beef lasagne (which we never tried there before). Salad came with less ingredients than it use to,egg looked like it was in the fridge from few days ago, there wasn't much tuna in it,and it was pretty small altogether. Lasagne (picture attached) was crispy on the outside, but inside it wasn't hot at all, mince beef didn't look or taste like mince beef,it was tiny portion and seriously I've had better from ready meals section in any supermarket. There was nothing Authentic or Italian about food we were served,we ate most of it because we were hungry, but we left still hungry. We probably won't be going there again for a long time, management might want to look into this as it affects their business,or they can choose to ignore it and let their business go downhill. I forgot to mention it was on Wednesday early afternoon,so the place was absolutely dead, and I'm sure whoever was cooking had enough time to prepare food correctly. Only good part was service and cold beer, can't fault...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with customer service here , I’m from the area and heat here quite frequently and I’ve never experienced this before today , knowing it was Mother’s Day weekend have made reservations, with that being said for obvious reasons we had made the booking for 2 toddlers both needing a highchair which we requested while at making reservations. Soon arriving at the restaurant we were told they were not available and was offered no solution for this and was basically told it was not there concern, they showed no willingness to resolve this and did not care that this was requested when we had made our reservation, we left becuase we had no choice! After leaving and knowing it was Mother’s Day and it would be impossible to make reservations anywhere else we called back and asked if it was possible to have a later booking if highchairs could be provided and Guaranteed we were told to come back a hour later and they would be available, when we arrived they were not available and yet again our requests were shrugged off , by this point it was too late to find an alternative (with being Mother’s Day slim chance) so we had no choice but to sit down! And sit my 14 month old son in a chair with no support or safety! The food was nice as always, and the service was also pretty poor! We were offered a highchair 45 minutes later! While at half way through our food , I’m never one too complain but on Mother’s Day this is really poor, every single one of your servers did not seem to care! The only server who seemed to care was a young (I believe Asian) girl, very friendly and smiley. Unfortunately I will never...
Read moreWe arrived 15 minutes before our booking at 7pm and the place was packed. Even so, we were at our table by seven. Definitely recommend you make a booking. We've eaten here before, and the staff are always really friendly. It's a whirlwind of tables and chairs being moved to accommodate different group sizes, but it's all done with smiles. The food - really tasty. We ordered breaded garlic mushrooms to start. Loved the generous portion of garlic mayonnaise. For main course, we ordered a pepperoni pizza, linguini marinera, veggie lasagne, meat lasagne, with sides of breaded courgette and chips - all super tasty. The linguini was a generous portion and daughter said she loved the mussels. She couldn't finish it and staff checked everything was ok, and offered to box it gor her to take home. Both lasagnes were tasty and very filling. We needn't have ordered the chips. Courgette/zucchini is a favourite side dish of ours. Staff quickly clear plates, check everything is ok, and even though it was super busy and there was an almost constant stream of people entering, we never felt rushed. Offered a limoncello at the end which was like drinking a lemon sherbert - so nice! Manager apologised for the wait to be seated at the end, but we pointed out no need as we had been early! Definitely recommend and sorry we didn't take any pictures...
