Great service, great coffee
Edit: I wrote the above on their opening weekend but now we've been regulars for the last few months I feel this needs an update. This place and it's coffee really speaks for itself but in case you haven't yet had the pleasure to make the journey down, hopefully this review will convince you.
This place serves delicious coffee, it's honestly some of the best I've had and we're so fortunate to have the place in such close proximity. The coffee options are broad and the barista has a great and deep knowledge of characters, roasts and types. As you'd expect, this place offers everything from espressos to cortados, with syrups also on offer and oat milk for us vegans. In my opinion their Americano is crisp with the perfect amount of bite and lattes are comfy, creamy yet still full of flavour. Since opening day we've been going twice a day each weekend and any other opportunity we are able to in between.
The team are so welcoming and humble, they run the place with a warmth and character that is often overlooked in coffee shops - especially the larger chains.
There are great breakfast, light lunch and snack options. I'm a big fan in particular of the Lemon and poppyseed muffin (and Jane's Anzacs if they have any!) but the croissants always seem really popular choices too. They roast their own beans and sell a variety of these in bags to take away (they also offer to grind them if you don't have the ability to do so at home)
The care and craft that is going into each of my orders has always been exceptional and never compromised - even if the shop gets busy. It was a 5 star review when the place first opened and it's a 5 star review now, a testament to the team and their never wavering high standards.
This review is may seem overkill for a small coffee shop, but it's...
Read moreSimba Bru has been on our list to try for a while and we are so glad we did. We are used to visiting another well known local independent coffee spot in the neighbouring area but in the last year or so, the quality of coffee was going downhill along with the service which was a shame.
When we first tried coffee at Simba Bru, we were shocked at the quality of the coffee and how it was made. They clearly only have well-trained, passionate baristas here and use their own speciality coffee. And this is clearly why our coffee has been consistently good every time we have come back! We travel 25/30 mins just to get a good coffee here. The reviews and ratings speak for themselves!!
Great array of sandwiches and treats on offer.
Locals seem to enjoy the minimalistic atmosphere of this humble independent coffee shop. It boasts warm customer service. And it is a gem to Watford and beyond, for anyone looking for the best coffee...
Read moreUpdated Visit: 24th Nov 2023 Have visited a couple of times and nothing but continued praise for the Siba Bru team. Great hospitality with great products equals a happy returning customer! They've also introduced a loyalty card where you collect stamps to get a free drink. I'll be collecting stamps as often as I can!
Visited for the first time on Sunday, 6th August. Very pleased with this find and will certainly be returning.
Simba Bru is a small independent shop. A quaint shop with a small but varied selection of snacks and sandwiches to accompany your coffee. There is some indoor seating as well as a couple of tables and chairs outside.
They have a selection of brew's that you can purchase and take home. I was offered the option to have the beans ground for me. Excellent customer service!
Look forward to my...
