I'm a regular at this Costa and always find the staff happy helpful and good at making coffee and making you feel welcome and I like the coffee. There is lots of competition in the high street for coffee and food and Costa just doesn't sell itself, the shop looks closed from the outside due to dim lighting, its getting a bit tatty after a few years of use , could do with a revamp or a lick of paint. It's one of the only places with an outside space , a rear courtyard and that's why I like it however , the fences are shoddy , the paving is dangerous in parts , weeds grow through the paving there are no umbrellas for when it's really hot or raining, it's not a nice place to enjoy a coffee. There are lots of regulars I see in there who obviously like the coffee and support a coffee shop that has good service , sometimes a bit slow but good coffee takes time . It seems the senior management at costs dont care about godalming , maybe the numbers are not as good as they were but it's time they supported their staff and treated the customers to a nice environment , and maybe they will come back. Management you should looka t where other coffee shops fail and beat them at their own game , you have good staff and a prime site . Please support your staff and customers as much as we all support you. I'm not the only one who wishes...
Read moreCostas have in my view become almost like the coffee version of McDonalds. Most high streets have them (2nd largest coffee chain in the world and largest in the UK after all) and you know what to expect in terms of food and drink. This Costa seems always to be busy but there is still space; there is plenty of seating space and it boasts a garden out back should the weather be obliging. The coffee is standard Costa fare, nothing special and the food is the usual range of Panini, they'll warm it for you and plonk it on a plate with pretty good service. The place itself can smell a bit in the back end of the place for some reason and the toilets aren't the nicest; it's fine for a bit of...
Read moreTypically poor service at a Costa outlet. Very slow service by a staff member who didn't appear to know what she was doing. At least three members of staff in the coffee shop but only one slowly serving customers. Unfortunately what one comes to expect from Costa Coffee wherever it is located. Heaven knows the last time the toilet doors were last cleaned. It beggars belief that the cleaners and staff cannot see the filthy state of these doors or perhaps they just do not care. Come on Costa, a little effort and pride in what you do could turn a mediocre outlet in this Historic Surrey town into a...
