The Chiabata I mean tbh it was ok but I did think they would be a bit lighter or more Chiabata like essentially it was a bit greasy spoon for me where I was hoping for a bit more authentic topping. For example the Goats cheese and vegetable one was a massive piece of goats cheese thrown on a Chiabata a load of pesto and some tomato and for some reason some cheddar cheese. Not what I’m used to when it comes to Goats cheese and vegetable. Tbh I wouldn’t go again probably because for the price I could get something I prefer. Stopped in here for a quick bite on a Sunday lunchtime when visiting Uckfield. We were stunned by how good the food was, not to mention big portions and a reasonable price. Calling it a café is a disservice, as the food was way beyond that level. The halloumi my wife had was well cooked (she's a chef and knows about how to cook food well) - it was cooked through without being burnt on the outside and cold/runny inside, whilst also not at all greasy. We really enjoyed the breakfasts we had here, the food was really good and was presented well with generous portions, we went on a very busy day and they looked short staffed, so one person was doing a lot of running around front of house, which she managed to do quite well, serving customers teas and coffees, serving the food and taking orders.
