Raipur Contemporary Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Wealden

Went there tonight for the very 1st time and unfortunately the last ! The food looked and tasted lovely until I found a 4 or 5 inch black hair in the lamb and spinach stuffing of the murgh ki shaag-o-rana dish ! I have white blonde and purple hair which I tied back so wondered how a hair got in my dinner especially the stuffing, then realised it wasn't mine ! When i showed them, they took it in the kitchen , and came back and said nobody in the kitchen has long hair ! All boys. I asked if the stuffing could of been prepared earlier as it could of happened then. They made me feel like i was lieing and kept eyeing my daughters hair, my daughter next to me has light brown hair and my other daughter was sat opposite to left of me and had been no where near my dinner. No apology or anything until i said we had enjoyed the food and would of gone back again but as they hadn't even aplogosed or taken my meal off the bill we wouldn't (only at this point did they take my meal off the bill) Left very upset and will not be returning due to the...

Tried to order a takeaway online for our 10th wedding anniversary tonight. Ordered it but couldn't pay with a debit card, cash was the only option offered. Rang up as the website says to phone if you want to pay by card, which slightly defeats the object of ordering online. The person who answered the phone asked me if I had placed an order & if so to pay by cash as the card machine was not working. I explained that I don't keep £50 cash in the house & he repeated his request to pay by cash as their card machine was not working today. Can I please ask in Covid times when we are being asked to pay by debit card rather than cash that we have all touched & so will more easily spread the virus why Raipur haven't made it a priority to get it fixed first thing toda? Having eaten here recently I was looking forward to our meal. Booked for 7pm. Ordered drinks and food. Popadoms to start which came in good time. Then we waited and waited. Had to ask for drinks and twice asked where our mains were and was eventually served at 8.45pm. The waiter was quite rude to us aswell. They were busy and seemed short staffed as the chef was helping clear the tables at times. Had one of them been courteous and just explained that they were falling behind and there was going to be a wait for our food, and checked in on us for top ups of drinks then that would have been perfectly fine. It doesn’t take much really and can make all the difference. The food was lovely. I really can’t fault that but by the time it came is was rather late. So very disappointed and did not leave a service charge and have been put off. Maybe better not to go on a weekend....
