Muffin Break — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

Placed an order with these today and on biting into the breakfast bagel with egg and bacon the centre was cold like it had been in a fridge whilst the outer was warm at best and the cheese had not melted.

On opening up the bagel the egg was cold to touch like it had been pre cooked and placed in a fridge prior to finding its way onto my extremely dry bagel. If this is the case then they should be closed donw with immediate effect as the food they are serving is not fit for human consumption.

All bacon was cremated and hard, all bread and bagels were dry and hard, non of the food was suitable to eat.

On reviewing the deliveroo app which I ordered through the food rating is 3 out of 5 which after today's experience is not a shock.

Don't not order from them, I've tried to escalate this with @deliveroo but I'm not holding mucj hope for a resolution...

This was a second visit to Muffin Break (different branch), an Aussie chain in the UK. I was looking forward to the festive turkey/cauliflower cheese Yorkshire wraps shown outside the cafe but they were not available so why display them. The staff were baffled when I showed a picture of what was advertised, I mean its Christmas, they are promoting it but do not have it or even attempted to make one but all they pointed to was the Chicken Tikka Yorkshire Pudding in the cabinet. Anyway, got the chicken tikka Yorkshire pudding which was the best of both worlds and the Christmas panini with turkey stuffing etc. The tikka Yorkshire was a good idea but the Yorkshire let it down because the texture on one side had not risen properly otherwise good. QUALITY of coffee - trumps Nero, Bucks, and the other local chains around here hands down.

SERVICE is brilliant - always friendly, smiling, and personable, to the point they remember my name and know what I'd like to eat and drink.

FOOD is very tasty - I'm not a sweet tooth so I've only eaten a few muffins here. Blueberry, apple and cinnamon, and strawberry, all of which were far better than anything you can buy around here. Favourites though, the ham/egg slice, and the spinach/feta slice. They're epic, so tasty, and I like the Indian twist on the ham/egg slice where they've introduced some cumin, turmeric, and coriander - perfect balance too.
