Highly recommend! Absolute hidden gem! Decided to pop in here for a snack to warm us up on a very wet day in Tavistock. The two guys working were fast and very polite. Great customer service. I was using my wheelchair and had no problem finding somewhere suitable for my party of 4 to sit. Food was not only fast but was hot and absolutely delicious! The portions were very generous and well worth the money! Pictured is the breakfast burger, tuna jacket potato with side of chips, macaroni cheese and then the best bacon and mushroom baguette I've had in years! This is a hidden gem that I will happily go out of my way to visit again!

Bob's is a Gem located at the East End of Tavistock Panier Market. Great homely food, really cheap, great quality and Good portions. Full English Breakfast for me today (no Tomatoes) £8,95 with a mug of coffee Highly recommended

At one point end of Tavistock’s Pannier market Bob’s serves good coffee, very reasonably priced. Friendly service, highly recommended. Food looked great, good portions, but didn’t have an opportunity to try it. Next time maybe.

I'm guilty of judging a book by its cover and despite frequenting Tavistock and the Pannier market, I've never visited this café through an unfair assumption that it is a 'greasy spoon'. I should have realised sooner, that if it lived up to that reputation, it wouldn't have been around so long! We dipped in for a quick lunch and I gladly take back every misconception I had. It's not gourmet food; it is good, proper, hearty food. The sort that you need when you're tired or cold accompanied by fresh mugs of tea - tea made properly and not pale and insipid. We had jacket potatoes with beans, cheese and salad and these spuds were large! The value for money was fantastic and the service (I think it was Bob) was top notch. If I need to stop for food in Tavi again, I certainly won't think twice about visiting this place; I've missed out...

This was our first visit to the cafe and it will certainly not be the last. The staff are probably the friendliest I have ever come across, nothing was too much trouble, my wife has tremors so I asked for her tea to be put in a mug but they went one better and gave her a cup designed for this condition. Foodwise we had the full English breakfast which was excellent, it was cooked to perfection, not greasy at all and plenty of it. If in Tavistock I wouldn't recommend...
