It is under new management, which is a blessing. Originally, the layout had the cafe at the rear of the building, although small, it became a tremendous success thanks to Mrs Fillingham, who invested a huge amount of energy and time in making it work despite the cramped space. When that lady left, the customers soon followed, and it became a wasteland. The building was revamped, but its cafe had no ambience unlike its original model. It had been put upstairs which seems to have put it out of reach. This latest manifestation places the cafe in the largest room available, the old theatre. If anything, it is too big, but nonetheless an improvement. Coffee originally produced in the original cafe was the best in town by a light year. Read moreWith there being many cafés in Ormskirk, it can be easy to overlook The Chapel, but it's absolutely worth going. Not only are the drinks really nice, but the service is always excellent. The staff are eager to not only help, but engage with you and make you feel welcomed. This, alongside their clear cut position to engage with the community of Ormskirk via many events and creative based endeavors really solidify their place at being a wonderful meet-up spot for a nice hot drink.

Very poor service from the cafe telling customers we are not serving and then decide who they will and won’t serve.
The gentleman who I presume was the boss very rude to customers and also to the member of staff working presume she was new and training and the boss was rude and telling her off infront of customers.
Won’t be returning...
