Dear lord where to start. Honestly not what it looks like on their website. Sticky dinner tables. Staff who were nice and friendly but really didn't know what they were doing to be honest. I asked for olive oil 3 times because I couldn't eat butter and she repeatedly bought me olives and butter. Sangria must have been lemonade and some grenadine - not a touch of red wine or orange juice in there. Chorizo was spongey and unpleasant. Meat to cook was Grey and old and the beans 🤢 honestly don't know what the hype is, really unpleasant.

EDIT (As the restaurant don't seem to think my response is genuine)

It's a shame the person of the response is not willing to own up to the fact that my meal was so disappointing and instead try to blame me for being fake. Anyone on Google can see that I have provided over 30 reviews and most are high scores and very honest.

There is absolutely nothing in me that believes there was any red wine in the sangria. The tables were indeed sticky and the staff unknowlegdable. If 4 of us managed to drink 6 jugs of sangria without feeling the slightest bit tipsy then that would say enough about the lack of alcohol in the cocktail.

Please just accept on this occasion the food and overall experience was incredibly disappointing and I shall not be returning and am even more disappointed the responder will not accept there was a fault this time and take on criticism to improve their dining experience. I would 100%...

Visited this place whilst staying in bury st Edmund’s on a night away. It was a Thursday and we were drawn in by the trip advisor reviews, which are mostly all 5 star! This is rare so thought we’d better check it out. We were greeted by the very helpful staff who immediately seated us at a table. The restaurant does have a normal, small a la carte menu, which mainly focussed on steak with a few other options for vegetarians etc.

They also offer a fixed menu where you pay around £30 each and you get starters and then you get steak, chips, coleslaw, rice and soft drinks or sangria. This is all unlimited (including the steak and drink) they keep bringing you more if and when you need it. The most interesting part (which some might not like, but I loved it), you cook the steak yourself using a hot stone in the middle of the table.. this is a really cool little gimmick that means you can all have the steak cooked exactly how you want it. For those interested, I believe the steak was rump and it was really well seasoned and tenderised, so it melted in the mouth.

The staff were very attentive all night, spotting when we had run out of any food and then offering more.. means you’re not having to awkwardly flag down a waiter all the time.

All in all, great experience. If I’m ever in the area again.. I’ll...

Update: Sept 2024: We returned as a group of 9 guys. Once again great service, good quality meat and decent value so we got our moneys worth!

March 2024: Meat... And lots of it! That is the best way to summarise our trip to Cheers.

Update: Sept 2024: - We returned as a group of 9 guys. Once again great service, good quality meat and decent value so we got our moneys worth! March 2024: Meat... And lots of it! If we were to return, we would probably mix it up a little and have steak on stone in addition to another person having Haloumi. Service was really good, empty dishes cleared quickly, meat topped up for cooking, drinks supplied, etc, all great service. Only negative comment is the smoke from the stone frying lingers upstairs and does sting your eyes a little. Alot better circulation downstairs but upstairs is noticeable so for those with Asthma or eye issues, best to request a downstairs table! Highly recommend and would return for sure

Since the steak on hot stone seems to be one of the signature dishes, we opted for the Rump, to be cooked by ourselves on the hot stone at the table (all you can eat). It turned out to be the right decision and we enjoyed it very much, although not all of the pieces we were given were equally tender, but overall the quality was good. The French Fries served with the meat were great, with just the right crisp. I'm usually not too keen on "all you can eat" options, as I'm not that great an eater, but on this occasions it was the right decision, as it turned out to be really great value for the money and was also fun at the same time. Great place for meat lovers!

I am a Michelin (hence every star that I award translates directly to a Ceritifed Michelin^TM Star). Steak was the bomb dude. No complaints. Best fanta to ever go down the drain too. Stunning service🤩, coming from an equally stunning manšŸ˜‰šŸ˜ (ya know what am sayin’). Love to the young gentleman from peckham, respect for escaping gang wars to now fighting vegan wars. Loving how there’s no vegetarian options. Good luck fighting the riots my brothersšŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ’•.
